too much soap opera and not enough violence lately :agree:
They've skipped at least three major battles. Green Fork (where Tyrion gets knocked out and the Lannisters defeat part of Starks army), Whispering Wood (where Jamie Lannister is defeated and captured by Robb Stark) and the siege and sack of Meereen (was very bloody and hard fought in the book, in the show Dany just sneaks in a couple unsullied and the town falls by morning :sergio:)

The only major battle they showed was Blackwater, which was a kick ass episode. They need to do that with every major battle.

I don't care that much about Dany so them not showing the Meereen battle is fine by me. It's obvious they're fast forwarding through her trip to Westeros.

oh yea they only showed the important aftermath of the earlier battles. May have something to do with time or budget constraints, i read somewhere that the battle of blackwater episode was ridiculously expensive to produce even by GOT standards

of course they are expensive as fuck, i like the current format though with the money going mostly towards locations/sets/extras

Yea, you're right. But it was an opportunity to make some great television.

I guess it's a problem with them only making ten episodes a season. And let's face it, it's cheaper to have a few actors talk than to depict large battles. lol

Dany is important, she is the true heir to the throne, brah.

it's basically the walking dead all over.
except GOT a lot of the characters are likeable and you watch hoping they won'tjust kill off everyone. Walking dead the characters are obnoxious and dont die fast enough.

Word.
nah Stannis is the rightful king

true tho that this show wastes way too much time trying to appeal to it's (probably minimal) female audience

i believe thats the intent of the director, dany is becoming delusional in her silly naive crusade, just like jon snow before her refusing to be practical which ultimately meant his demise.
you mean robb stark?
