On the CT scan, no active cancer was spotted anymore.
All cancer in his lung was gone, and around his long pipe, there only was some dead cancer left which only needs to die away but won't do him harm anymore.
So all in all, the treatment was 100% succes.

I'd like to thank you all for the support in these very though months.
Love you all , and although only virtual friends, this won't ever be forgotten .

A bit of news again, appearently, it can happen with the type of lung cancer my dad has (had), that there might be some metastases (google translate) in the brain.
So to be certain that there is nothing left there because appearently, it is almost impossible to see that, they want to give him one more chemo cure of 3 days and 10 radiations on his head.
They say it's not something to worry about, that it is only to prevent worse thing to happen, but of course I preferred it not to be necessary.

From then one, we can only hope it stays away.

In my opinion, it has always been prevalent, but I think they didn't give it the name cancer back then.
For example my dad's cancer, it looked like a bad cold, so maybe, in the past when people died on this cancer, I think they declared it as dead by a long disease.

It can take a lot out of you. Many people feel weak or tired during the time period that they have their therapy. She will need to take it easy as it takes a while to recover and regain her strength. I have my fingers crossed for her. :xfinger:

Probably! But it was called something different. People in the last century spoke of friends and family 'dying of tumours' or 'pneumonia'. We now know that there are many different types of cancer, but they did not know that, even when the word cancer was first used. I think that lung cancer was the first to be called cancer around the middle of the last century. My late Grandparents would talk about people of their generation or older dying of pneumonia and people having tumours. Many people in the last century would die after long illnesses and because their death was not suspicious, no-one would have done an autopsy on them to find out what really killed them. They just went by whatever the doctor put on the death certificate and very few people in that day ever questioned a doctor.

Agreed. I think cancer has been around with us a long time, independent of modern industrial environmental factors that we might like to blame. And even if you can blame a more industrialized, processed food diet, malnutrition had its own problems in the past.

After becoming a dad the 25th, more good news followed last week Thursday, the cancer is completely gone, treatments worked 100%.
Now it's time for him to enjoy being a grandfather and hope that it stays away.
