    It wasn't a complaint. :D

    No, it's all good.

Unfortunately there's no cure for my mother-in-law's situation. So the question now is how long we can manage it and extend her life in a way that's still pretty high in quality.
Damn, too bad, don't know how old she is?
    Stay strong man.

i'm so sorry to hear this greg, but look bro with these things u never know to be honest. i've heard numerous accounts about this and believe it or not the patients psychological ability makes all the difference in the end greg. my advice to you is, try yr best that you and yr wife and other family members be around her bec that will give her the strength to stay strong and push forward bro. in medicine greg miracles happen and it all comes down to the persons psychological strength in the end. this is actually one of the first things they tell us in clinical pharmacy, its that the medicine is 50% of the road the other 50% is pure mental strength of the patient.

stay strong and my prayers go out to you and yr family in this time :)

A day sooner then expected, but the verdict is in.

On the CT scan, no active cancer was spotted anymore.
All cancer in his lung was gone, and around his long pipe, there only was some dead cancer left which only needs to die away but won't do him harm anymore.
So all in all, the treatment was 100% succes.

I'd like to thank you all for the support in these very though months.
Love you all , and although only virtual friends, this won't ever be forgotten :dule:.

That's awesome news, Chester. These life and death things are so critical. You're going to be on watch for the next 5 years, but this is a massive hurdle. Congrats!!!

Unfortunately my mother-in-law's news isn't nearly as good, so you have to take what life offers you.

Is it beyond hope or "just" a setback in treatment?
There's no cure (it's now classified as a stage 4 bladder cancer), and they are canceling scheduled surgeries because she's too weak and should instead go straight to chemotherapy, etc. My gut feel is that she may have a couple months to live tops, unless she reacts to chemo with a massive turnaround, but nobody is really confirming anything to keep things open.
