It was probably money or playing in Serie B! Not every player would accept that, some would and we appreciate that a lot, but we can't expect everyone to do the same, we can't blame them neither. They are professionals, they are not passionate Juve fans like us. Zlatan left this club to go closer to the top, and now he is in Barcelona, is that sin to aim that? no!

But I believe you last line explains it all, why some of our fans hate him! Being cocky and being a threat to Del Piero's playing time! Both are true! I hate his character, but he is a top player, we can't deny that.

The one thing that I do remember, is that a lot of people here were certainly not sad to see him go, and that confounded me even to this day.

I'm not going to address you, Snoop, if you keep thinking that everybody hates Ibra because of Del Piero. Simply not true, and I defended the former during his first season.

But during his second season, I could tell his cockiness got to him and he started to play for himself rather than the team. From his actions during the past three years, it's obvious to deduce that he is a major asshole with no real respect for the teams that he plays for. You may enjoy that side of him, but I don't. He's a disgrace.

Typical of a Zingaro.

I wasn't. Selfish player with an attitude that soured the locker room. Some teams entertain primadonnas. Others value the team over the individual.

By those rules, he was good riddance.

Not everybody, that's sure. You're a living proof that not everybody hates him because of DP.
But at least here, a huge majority hates him exactly because of Del Piero.

Similar happened to Ranieri, although in Ranieri's case the majority hated him for reasons unrelated to Del Piero. But there were some members here who were actually patient with Ranieri and even supported him, but the moment Del Piero was benched Ranieri became the worst thing that happened to Juventus.
Or Capello. You and few more hated him for his way of football and his tactics or lack of success in Europe, but we're all perfectly aware why was he hated so much, and it has nothing to do with his tactics.

Ferrara will be worst than Ibra, Capello and Ranieri combined if he benches DP for 3-4 more matches.
Even if Juve keeps winning. :howler:

Well, I wasn't a member on this forum at the time, so I obviously don't know about the people here.
But a lot of Juve fans (the majority I would say) were fed up with his behaviour & perfomances. I was at the Juve-Milan game in his second season (0-0, he was subbed out at halftime, DP came in) and people's reactions in & around the stadium were pretty clear. They wanted him gone.
And that was indeed before the whole Calciopoli thing began.

My reasons for not liking Camo are well known, and it has NOTHING to do with his on field performance.

I honestly don't know why you would attempt to lump those two scenarios together.
Because they are the same. You don't like Camo for off the field reasons and I don't particularly like Ibra in the same way. His attitude doesn't charm me, it annoys me. And I don't like his style of play very much either, when he starts stopping and waiting for defenders to catch up so he can toy with them.

Perhaps I misunderstood, but you made it sound like people should appreciate Ibra for rational reasons: because he's a good player. Well if so you should appreciate Camo. All I'm saying.

It's just a matter of taste. So if that's all it is..

Second season he had below average performance, he didn't became all that "selfish" within a year Andy did he? No, if he had a good performance, and kept on scoring goals, you would have supported him (even if he stayed selfish). But he had one bad season and some of you didn't have the patience, It was Capello who kept him play 90 minutes every match, why do you hate Zlatan then? Should he went and talk with Capello to give chance to Del Piero? As for disrespecting, he never disrespected Juve! Even thou our fans were assholes calling him names from stands, he never commented on it. What you want him to do better than this? As for Inter, I really don't care what he says about Inter. Inter is a circus anyway..

Well, you're right, some people certainly demonstrated that. But when Ibra was fooling around during his second season, Del Piero should have gotten more time.

So we have to be careful generalizing. Hatred for Capello in the second season for fielding Ibra no matter what is justified, IMO.

Now I remember why people say you never read their posts.

Maybe I wasn't in the locker room, but you could see his selfish play among his teammates and his belligerent reaction to the fans when they called him out for being an ass.

And let's not forget that Capello had him play a wider role in the second season. His goal tally went down, but his assists went way up.

I'm not aksing anyone here to appreciate Camo, Ibra, or Jennifer Lopez' multi-million dollar insured booty. They are old enough to make their own judgments.

And their is a difference between off field antics on a professional level, and those on a personal level
