I don't know what counts. If a mini table is created then USA will need to win 3:0 at least.
If the total goal difference is counted and if Italy loses by 3 goals tonight, then Italy needs to win by 3 goals again

But if Brazil beats Italy 5:0 then US will need to win 2:0 or 3:1 to proceed. Tough chances for the USA.
