i would not mind Cannavaro.he is still ideal defender for serie a.But he needs to explain something like why did he leave in 2006.
But what do you expect him to say?
Sure, he can lie and say that it was the worst thing he could do and he regrets that decision to join Madrid, but nothing will change the fact that he left.

I'm also ready to accept him back. He's still a better defender than all our defenders.

    Merry christmas!
    It's possible.

If not Eboue there can be someone else.Cheap, but better than Grygera & more reliable than Zebina.

I think it's written for Hamsik to come here. :D We could/should sell Tiago + money from the CL and everything should be enough to buy those 2.I just hope we don't lose Diego to Inter.

That would be an interesting backline. It could work well, but both have been labelled traitors by a portion of the Juve fans.
It's time for them to move on because this could really work.

what about Lichtsteiner? he should be more affordable than eboue & i'm sure his wages won't be as high

Canna is/was like 10 times better than freakin' Gallas.
He definitely was. Not speaking about our post-Calciopoli situation, I'm not keen on bringing him back now that he isn't that great as he used to be anymore and has about one year more playing at the level we expect from a Juventus defender. Even Napoli rejected him as a possible transfer. And having in mind our board's will to extend veterans' contrcts and Ranieri's attitude towards them, we'll have our own today's Maldini in the starting eleven in few years. I think Gallas could teach something Chiellini also and at least would provide more seasons playing on an acceptable level...

But Cannavaro as an assistant coach working with defenders, why not.

Cannavaro will definitely not come back to sit on the bench.WC 2010,remember?

Apparently Lippi recommended him to Blanc when they met at a restaurant a week ago.Chiellini Cannavaro would be pretty badass actually, despite Fabio's age.

He still got injury problems but as i said, I might be biased in this situation where I'd prefer Canna here because I don't think he's worse than Gallas. He's old, that's right, but he can play here for 1-2 years without a probelm and he doesn't have to be our Maldini. He's still a world class defender and some level that Gallas won't ever reach. It can be a part of contract where he'd get 1 year and job of a director/assistant coach or somethin later on.

If we can get Cannavaro, why not? We'd only be taking a small gamble and if it turns out okay, we might be a lot stronger in defense.

How many quality starters do you think our board will bring this summer?

Lets see....we need a Diego type of player, we need a LB, RB and a CB. These poitions are our priorities. But in what order?
Do you think we'll buy 4 great players for all these positions?
If you think so, or if you think that the CB position is a top2 priority, then Cannavaro to Juve won't be a good transfer for you, and i'll agree with you that it won't be a good transfer.

But we all know that our board will not buy 4 top quality players for these 4 positions this summer. The most we can hope for is Diego and one more expensive top quality defender. That defender, imo, should be a full back and that full back is a higher priority than a CB.

So, if we spend our transfer budget money on Diego and a full back, would you prefer Cannavaro or another Stendardo/Knezevic loan deal?

There's no way Ranieri will play a Christmas tree. And he shouldn't. Also, Camo and DP should be starters next year too.
Who knows if it'll be Ranieri.

    I agree, I think it'd be a good deal.

Maybe he's the reason of Secco's flight to Spain and not Silva at all.

The fact that he's better than our other defenders is not a good enough reason to get him. Oddo is better than our other fullbacks but he's a load of shit too. I know that if he comes, he is not gonna just sit on the bench for some less influencial young player, especially under the balls-less Ranieri. Yes, we want to improve to our backline, but taking it from absolue chaos to just above mediocre and painfully slow is not my idea of what it takes to play against Rooney, Drogba, Torres and Eto'o.
