Because HE'S a GODDAMNED ENGLISH CUNT. I've expected it from him. He reflexedly saved a shot with his head most probably because an ant went up his anus and bit his G spot which twitched his mother fucking head. He can't even speak English properly with his ancestor's accent. He'll be going to Euro wanking on the field.

Oh wait. England ain't in Euro. Yea he can jerk off in front of the TV watching lesbian porn. Cristiano Ronaldo making love to Van Der Saar.
English football is crap. Thank goodness we don't have to watch their crap this summer. It gives us something to look forward to.

I am actually glad to see Man Utd win. IMO they deserved winning it since the goal Lampard scored was because Van Der Saar slipped. Drogba's slap was funny and I wonder if he did that because he had enough of Chelsea. Maybe he will go to Milan?

:D:D well look,in england my fave is manutd
in spain my fave is barca but in all europe it is JUVENTUS...come on, if juve is playing against manutd. i would NOT be supporting manchester at all, it is juventus

my point is, it is a different game, with manutd and chelsea, for many reasons i support manutd, they are my fave since long time ago, plus i hate chelsea, IN MY OPINION, they didnt deserve to be in the final, or competing in the PL, arsenal played better football, and again i repeat IN MY OPINION, bec guys get angry so easily and quickly here :D

ONCE AGAIN WHY NOT MAN UTD ESPECIALLY ????????? WISH TO KNOW
So tell me why do you support Juve? If you support Juve for what they are. WHICH IS FOR NO REASON AT ALL, you will not support Man Utd.

I dont see why it needs a reason to support Juventus. The passion itself for who they are is more than enough. Why do you support Man Utd? Because they spent 16M for Michael Carrick who played like the chinese practising kung fu with his kung pao chicken next door? You're plastic!

I can understand u're haterd toward english football, they should band english from all kind of sports not just football ........
I just hate English football because they're so arrogant about it, everybody who enjoys football in this country loves it, and that I don't really find anything special about 22 players running around like chickens with their heads cut off on steroids. Just doesn't appeal to me.

English football fans think English football is the best. But this is obviously untrue because all they have through their "prosperity" is one lousy World Cup won in London in a dubious fashion. My signature sums up what they're worth.

Was the 'boring-so-obviously-destined-for-penalties' final that we got. The only surprise being goals were actually scored! I say 'goals' but how that can give the description to a move where a full-back takes a throw-in which is won by your star centre-forward not much further than the half way line...he plays the ball to a winger who overruns the ball in trying to take an opponent on...subsequently the ball breaks into midfield where a out-of-position right-back tries a pathetic attempt at goal which ricochets of a defender, the goal-keeper slips and falls to the biggest goal-hanging midfielder even seen to slot home!

Couldn't script it any better!

Kudos to UEFA for fixing up such a spectacle!

To be honest did you notice when terry slipped the antics from Van der sar, he was pointing to Terry with his finger and laughed. And then someone here said look how good respect those players show to each other. I dont recall something like that in OT 2003 Nor Istanbul 2005 penalty shootouts.

Dudek hardly behaved admirably in Istanbul. But I agree it's a definite lack of class when a goalkeeper tries to get an edge against a penalty-taker. Especially when this is perhaps the biggest match a player can play in and for it to be decided on penalties.

Ok aside from all that, let's say we watched red team against blue team, that was one hell of a football game. I enjoyed a lot.
Hahaha...my thoughts on this match too! I've missed reading your posts...should look on here more often!

Football is so ugly nowadays...I can barely remember a season I watched so little of it. (Before Jeeks steps in - this wasn't down to Milan's failure!)

It's ironic as tonight's game had no relevance on my and it has become normal for me not to watch football (particularly those between top teams where a supposed feast of football is apparently going to be on show)...and in the only time during the 1st half I watched 30 secs of the match continuously (I turned off at half-time and did other things and only rejoined the penalty shoot-out) ironically was the Chelsea 'goal'.

I watched from an innocent throw-in Ashley Cole was about to take. I was fascinated to see such a routine and un-noticeable part of the game almost become tactical and of utmost importance - the concentration of the left-back as he ushered a player to come near and then wave him away and eventually throw the ball to Didier Drogba (the teams only centre-forward) who could be little than 10 yards into the opposing half! The way he won the ball with his chest under pressure reminded me of American Football (the real football eh?)...but yet that play was perhaps the most important part of what has to be one of the most embarrassing goals in an important final for some time!

It got me thinking how ugly is the beautiful game? I prefer to watch tennis everytime over football. Just last weekend #2 & #3 in Men's tennis battled it out for 3hrs in an intense match. Qualities were evidently on display and in matches between the leading players, repeated showings of such quality are sustained. The technical qualities (the things that make them beautiful) are there to be seen even by the non-informed viewer - almost as if every time you watch it is equivalent to watching a Zidane or Maradona with the ball...

...those players which are missing in today's football. A game where Christiano Ronaldo is the current "great" and his performance today. An ugly game littered with physical duels between players, long balls, small details and mistakes.

Then the counter argument that the beauty in today's football is from the coaches...well let's not even start there as how many football fans can actually see what is going on behind the scenes?
