Yes, he could have finished the game. But then again had Drogba been on the field, there was no way Terry was going to take any of the PK's. No one wanted to take the 5th one, so Terry was asked to take it.

I agree that the slap was well deserved, too bad the assistant ref saw it though. Vidic has always been owned by Drogba and this was the only way he can get rid of him.
