God in religious scriptures is described as an omnipotent creator who's bestowed man with free will. You do have control on your acts thus you are responsible for them all, good or bad. God is described to be all knowing, he knows what you'll do next but this is you who does it. Everything good or evil happening in the world is directly associated with the man, otherwise what would be the point of rewarding good (if it was all god's) or punishing bad conduct in the afterlife (if man was created bad)?

I don't buy it. It seems like an excuse to not demonstrate his omnipotence. If he already knows what we're gonna do, then can't he just skip the "us doing it" part and simply get to the "rewarding and punishing" part?
