with that avatar, it shouldnt have come as a surprise.
people want more creativity in our team but dont want to sacrifice a DM for that... 
we cant have the best of both worlds guys.
And yes we can play with one DM, the only difference is that the DM (sissoko) would have to SIT infront of the back 4 and not attack at all - which would not be a problem for him at all. At the moment the two DM's do get forward but they also track back, they are about 30% effective in the final third and 70% effective in the middle - why not just put one guy Sitting being 100% effective, and a dangerman sitting in the final 3rd creating being 100% effective, should we be hit on the counter momo would be there to delay the effect and the wingers (and the forwards) would need to track back. All they need to do is be bodies and limit opposition options if tackling isnt their forte.

Of course we could play one DM, but then we'll be stuck eternally to a 4-4-2 diamond, and what are we going to do with poulsen then? He could be benched if it were me to decide, but still, i don't think he was brought in as a backup to sissoko. And in a 4-4-2 diamond, we'll hardly see camo and nedved cutting into the middle...
I don't see all the need for change everyone is expecting.
Still, i'll give you that Diego is a wonderful player. Rather than trying to 'teach' camo and nedved what to do, why not make diego play more as a CM-regista? That's what i would do. Him playing just in between camo and nedved, with sissoko and poulsen covering his back - a 4-5-1 which is VERY versatile, and allows both fast counterattacks as well as build-ups by midfield-domination.
Let's give them Tiago plus those 10millions we get from the CL-participation
that would be a deal i could live with

honestly, i prefer sissoko putting pressure on the opponent while he builds up play rather than him waiting for someone to get into his way. Sissoko is fabulous at tackling and runs like a madman, why would anyone want to not profit from this. I mean, it might work with diego up front, but the fact that we're winning lately (against teams like real) should be more than enough to prove that what we're doing is working.

basically, allofs assures juve would not be interested, but what else should he say. He is never going to admit that in mid-season, with the fans pushing for success- Once Werder are definately out of CL, and if they continue going bad in the bundesliga, then we should be able to knock at their door again. I don't see him coming in january though.
well you could be right. otherwise, you know how the media works. Once that little spark of a possibility exists there will ony be chaos; especially in germany, i think the media is quite disrespectful in that regard. I could imagine our board having an agreement of 'quiet negotiations', which would be better for both parties. For us, because we wouldn't be making the xabi alonso mistake again, if we sign someone else afterwards, and for them to keep the fans and the media quiet.
But it's all just speculation. I wouldn't mind him coming next season; he'd not only be a long-term investment, but also a good step-up in our marketing value (more shirts will be sold, better reputation, etc)
by the way i was watching the bundesliga today (mediocre game of diego) and someone in the chat about the game said: "diego sucks today, he has his mind already at juventus"... just a side-note, but still...

buying diego would be good (even with the problems we would have to find the right formation), but i only would consider that if this does not cut our budget too much so we would have to make comprimises and do not buy the players we really need (for the defense for example).
