Marchisio needs to replace which ever one of tiago or almiron when they leave.

Giovinco must be kept, we have lost way too many young players in the past.

Legro and Zebina should be swapped..LOL!

But Giovinco could be a future star..imo it wont be smart to involve him in any swap deal.
and Zapata is a future star as well. I'm not saying we should swap him with Giovinco (which is clearly a bullshit rumor anyways) I do think though that Zapata is a very good young player that is playing for a an okay team yet still managing to impress.

Quite frankly alot of times you could tell who has the potential to become a great player. Looking at Zapata I have the same impression I've had when I looked at Canna and Thuram in Parma and Nesta in Lazio. Which is that these players would become vital if with us.

I would consider swapping Marchisio or De Ceglie for Zapata... but definitely not Giovinco. Marchisio will be a talent, but I don't think he'll be all that outstanding. I'm quite sure Giovinco is the real deal. Zapata is also the real deal... he and Chiellini could be Juve's dynamic duo for over a decade.

Dont get me wrong..i too rate Zapata..the guy is pacy, dynamic and strong..he reminds me of Kolo Toure..what i was saying was that Giovinco shouldnt be included in any deal..as he is obviously a future star.

Enough with the Marchisio hype. He is not the new Conte, more like the new Brighi. Swapping him with Zapata is a no brainer.
i might not be in a position to judge here..but from the few matches i saw of Empoli this season...Marchisio doesnt strike me as someone who would be first choice for Juve in the next couple of years..a good backup maybe?

Worth swapping to get one of the best young defenders around.

I agree. He doesn't stand out in Empoli, like Giovinco does... and if he was as good as we all hoped he was, he would. (Granted I've only seen three Empoli games this year, but its enough to establish a pattern) Someone compared Marchisio to Brighi and that might be a good analogy. Serie A excellent, but not Juventus excellent. He'd be a solid starting midfielder on a team like Udinese, but on a full strength Juventus (as will be the case in a year or two), he'd be a reserve player. I don't think he'd be better than fourth choice on the currently wounded Juve team and we're all expecting (and probably receiving) midfield reinforcements in the coming year. (After Zanetti, Tiago and Nocerino in my estimation).

May as well swap him and some cash for a guy like Zapata who will definitely be a contributor for years to come.

I still think it's worth letting him develop. We have a pretty shallow load of talent in midfield as it is -- with injuries, retirements, etc. And he'll always better than Blasi, whom was a go-to guy of ours even in recent CL days.

I don't know how good he will get, but considering we are going to compete on 3 fronts next season it would be useful to have a young, free player instead of wasting money on a new signing to gfve us depth.
