Let's talk about that Amauri shot. That was some improvisation, I still don't get how he could get a shot so hard from that position. :dazed: I couldn't see clearly, but it was his heel, wasn't it?
:agree:

Notice his looking the other way when he played the ball to Giovinco earlier in the same move.

Pretty slick.

Outside of the foot whilst in mid air.

Pretty impressive the way he ran nearly the entire length of the pitch and did a lot of the work for that goal so late in the game.

Seba was quite a fair distance away from the LB anyway, he would have never reached it even if he tried...the goal was all about the inch perfect cross Seba delivered to the middle

If it puts doubt in the defender's mind and buys Giovinco an extra yard of space, it is worthwhile.

This.

If the Def is not concentrated enough.... he will look to amauri´s line of sight instead the trajectory of the ball. Thats the thing of that trick.

It was not of much difference in amauri´s play but maybe it won some miliseconds for giovinco :D

And it gave him cool points :p

yes, cool points

the reason Inter won the Scudetto last year
If Amauri can still play a simple pass just as well when looking away, what's the harm in him doing it?

I'd still prefer he spent time working on his finishing than practicing tricks.

a higher risk element, wouldn't you say? what if the game was tied at 1-1, Juve looked to create a swift counter attack, and the no look ended up going out for a throw in instead of Amauri playing it properly straight to Seba...it's always the smallest details...anyway, all's well that end's well, Forza Amauri

We can bicker all we want about Trezeguet's strengths and weaknesses, but let me just say that I'm glad to see that so much competition amongst our forwards is improving them all as players.

In the past, Trezeguet has pretty much been guaranteed a starting place because in the past, players like Zala/Mutu/Bojinov/Palladino haven't brought enough to the table in terms of workrate/buildup to compensate for Trez's raw finishing ability, but with the introduction of Iaquinta and Amauri who get a hell of a lot more involved, Trez has realised that he can't just wait around in the box all game and wait for chances to arrive on a silver platter. Who would've imagined a couple of years ago that Trezeguet would come out and say that he's realised he has to work harder and get more involved?

Some might argue that running around a lot is "not David's game' and that it will cramp his style and be detrimental to his contribution, but frankly I think it's rubbish that some people believe a player should be allowed to be anonymous for 90 minutes just because he's a good finisher.

Man im telling you, when i saw Trez saying those things in the interview i was speechless. In all this years at Juve, he never ever cared about it and believe me, that got to my nerves so many times.
He realized now that the competition for that spot is very fierce, and he has to give more to the team in order to compete. Its a little late for him to change his game, but the sole fact that he realized this and will try from now on to compete with amauri and IQ, will make him improve definitely, at least to a fitness level.

If he trains harder and tries to be better than our other strikers, he will find his form for sure.

Preach brother, preach :delpiero:

Even Inzaghi and Van Nistelrooy do something, something besides just poaching into an open net.

You could stack 72 Trezeguet fat stomachs and still not amount to anything close to one cheek of Ronaldinho's ass.
Dinho is disgusting, football wise. I mean, how he is able to waste all that potential with minimal effort?.

He deserves to be send back to brasil. He is a disgrace.

Spot on. Thats why I wanted to see Giovinco and Diego playing together behind Amauri, they would create so much chances for the team and be a constant threat.
