exactly
all these geniuses who think that david is too old and ineffective forget that camo, alex and buffon are over 30. but apparently david is the only one must go because he is too old.
also they want nedved to return 1 more season since he has been spectacular the past 3 seasons

What does concern me though, and to use an analogy, is how much "tread he has left on the tires".
He has been beset by injuries the last few seasons, and the severity of the injuries seem to get worse as he gets older.
Here is how I look at it, from a tactical point of view.
As it stands right now, there is somewhat of an imbalance among the 4 main strikers. Hypothetically speaking, there is no true "second striker" on this team aside from Delpiero.
Now, in a perfect world, Trez could be sold to Real Madrid, and that money could go towards acquiring Rossi, which in my opinion, would give Juventus the most versatile and dangerous set of forwards in Europe. Each one has many similarities, such as a high work rate, a willingness to enter the build up of play, yet they all have very different characteristics which make them unique.
I think the days of a "static striker", for this team, are over.
Ball possesion is something that is going to be crucial for this team if they want to take the next step in Italy and Europe, and I don't think that there is room for someone like Trez on this team anymore.
