No, it doesn't. Henry finds himself in a Zidane-like position these last few years, he's untouchable. Has he ever been fit and not started? I don't recall that. While their goal production is similar, Henry brings more to the team and that's why he always plays. Trezeguet has a certain static style that limits how the team plays, something the coach and fans don't always like. France's game is based around a lot of movement, quick wingers, it's basically nothing like the Juve of the last couple of years. And Trez doesn't have that kind of movement, so he doesn't fit in as well.

i was refferring to their different situation between the club and country teams, in the past.
But agreed now for some reason hes untouchable.Domench would play him if he was on 50% and it was an important game.

Also ur spot on France's style for a while now. I think Trezi functions better with a two man forward line. Instead of France's 4-5-1 or 4-3-3(however u look at it).

Does that warranty Domench to not even give Trezi a chance in the WC? i dont think so. Cuz there were some rigid game that they needed his killer finish but Domench wasnt giving him anything more than the mesely 5 mins or so.

Yes, it does. Because Trez is not new, we know what we can expect from him. He was not in any kind of streak with the NT during the WC or even the months leading up to it. He was struggling to score. And a struggling Trez adds very little to the NT, that has been proved time and again. Meanwhile, Malouda-Zidane-Ribery was a dynamic midfield with lots of pace and mobility, it was the best choice of midfield there was. And that came at a price of sacrificing a forward. Which ultimately landed them in the final. Not exactly a bad call, not to mention Ribery really coming alive out there.

I think Malouda is not such a great player I would like to see some1 else in his position...he is just a run-of-the-mill midfielder and I dont see the attacking instinct of ribery in his play...he will do the required stuff well but I dont see him creating a moment of magic for Les Bleus

They did reach the final and beat some big guns, but the deficiencies in that system were clear to me. And imo the answer was Trezi. BUT he wasnt given the chance.

Now from the Scotland game i watched.France always had Trezi and Henry upfront and he was doing well.

Now do u think hes going to be dropped for their next game ?And Domench will depend fully on Saha and Anelka as back up forwards. I think its a possibility(although i dont like it one bit)

I disagree, I think Malouda is great and he's improving. He was fantastic in the final.

The team was a shambles, it was only too clear. Frankly what made them galvanize and put in that kind of performance to beat Spain and Brazil I have no idea. Something sparked in the team, because up to that point they were useless. So no, Trez wasn't the problem, there were lots of problems. This btw was the case since WC2002, with no real exceptions.

The Ribery gamble paid off big time.

Btw Scotland won that game. Trez has 'done well' lots of times, but as long as the game is lost, what good is that?

No, I don't think Anelka has the confidence of Domenech. He has basically been out of the squad for a very long time and there has been some personality clashes too. Saha is a different case, he's doing well at the moment and could compete with Trez. But just because Trez doesn't start all the time doesn't mean he's forgotten. He's not a fringe player, he's very much in the picture and will continue to be. 70 caps clearly show that to be the case.

Well mister sarcastic, that came after a very dangerous run he took, which eventually ended in a dive. And Zidane scored. But later in the match he had a very similar run and again he went down and that certainly *was* a penalty, which wasn't given. Besides that he played really well.
