Perhaps I'm giving Comolli too much credit and his intention was to tell the fans not to expect anything because we're broke, but imo his latest statement was directed towards PSG and UEFA, rather than to Juve's fans.
I read it more like "We're not desperate, and we won't overpay. We have alternatives and can live without Kolo". By highlighting FFP, he's lowering PSG's leverage, making it clear that we won't throw amounts over our valuation just because the window is closing.
To UEFA he's saying that Juve are mindful of FFP, stability is priority and we won't repeat the mistakes that got Italian clubs in trouble before.
And also, I think he was speaking to the wider transfer market, telling everyone that we will buy on our terms and we won't be milked.
Or maybe there weren't any coded messages and I am indeed giving him too much credit.
