The only issue really is when hospitals become overwhelmed and have to start rationing health care like they have been in Idaho. But like covid, even that only really effects older people and less healthy people. And at around 40% vaccinated statewide, it’s hard to argue that this isn’t a majority mandated result.

When that Amtrak derailed in Montana, all I thought was that a mass-casualty incident can become a death sentence. Even if Idaho isn't under a universal DNR until their ventilators are maxed out.

They’re part of society, they just have to show negative test results. Yeah, it’s extreme but it is free choice. People are also free not to have a job or wear clothes but there’s consequences.

In Italy you mean? You can enter the supermarket there, but can’t go in restaurants. Cant enter the train aswel I thought.

So the situation there was basically the same as it is here now (The Netherlands). If someone would ask me to go to the movies after a hour I couldn’t go because I don’t have time to do a test, results will arrive tomorrow. And from this week tests aren’t free anymore if you’re going to fly to another country.

So people who say that it’s a “free decision” are totally ignoring the fact that unvaccinated people in those countries can’t go unexpectedly to restaurants, the movies, etc. You have to plan everything and personally I’m totally not the guy who knows what he’s gonna do next weekend. Basically you’re left out of a part of society.

Italy is a big country aswel. The north got hit hard. In the south there weren’t any big issues.

Italy got caught by surprise as it was basically the second country/region besides Wuhan where the virus broke out so massively. There wasn’t much information, no planning, etc.

I was at my family at the beginning of the summer and it was one of the few green country’s in Europe. It was like Corona didn’t exist. It’s pretty strange realizing that the government is applying the most severe rules in the European Union. Perhaps with France but I didn’t follow the situation there anymore.

There were reports of people paying up to 20% up their salary for the test, that’s not free anymore. Even a blind man sees that.
