When do you expect NY to reopen?
They have a multi-state group working on it, but I can't imagine any time soon. The east coast is hit pretty hard.

My guess is that you'll see the country re-opening West to East, with Idaho, Utah, Colorado opening shortly after California. It's going to be a state by state deal.

Sounds easy but opening the boarders is kinda a huge thing. Importing new cases can erase all the previous work. I wonder if countries will stay closed for some certain period of time.

Yeah, I'm positive it won't be a ready, set, go thing. Rather open some stuff, see how that goes, open some more stuff, etc.

The opening of borders is definitely a huge issue, but it's not like they're closed right now. We still have a lot of interstate traffic. Utah, supposedly has closed borders, but if you're visiting family or doing essential business you can get in.

It might not be an issue now but its a huge deal if you get to zero new cases, recovering process, and then you get 50 tourists carrying the virus and roaming your streets. In two weeks time you have 150 cases and one starts to wonder what to do then, because closing down everything again seems so fucked up.

Trump-voting, bible-belt, fly-over states should be first to reopen. If someone deserves the role of guinea pigs, it's them. Plus, the pandemic is a hoax, so nothing to be afraid of. Time for the true patriots in this country to step up.

There are better ways to pressure WHO leadership than to halt 23% of their funding during a pandemic, but those won't generate headlines.
