two iranian university students diagnosed with covid-19 in hungary. both visited iran recently, then returned to hungary after that.
one fucker didn't follow the protocol (you visit your doctor immediately and don't visit public institutes for 2 weeks after coming back from an infected area), attended his classes for more than a week before the symptoms started to show.

I mean, why would you consult a doctor if you don't have any symptoms?
If I look at the situation in Belgium: literally tens of thousands of people* were on holiday in northern Italy last week(end). It's obviously impossible to test everyone upon their return, so guidelines over here are pretty simple: if you're sick consult a doctor, if not don't.
* I personally know a bunch of them & have come in contact with them almost daily since their return. No symptoms whatsoever for the time being, but it makes perfect sense that this virus is spreading so easily.

Chinese and Vietnamese eating dogs is a stereotype here. Though I suppose China isn’t even SE Asian so I should have just written Chinese people eat dogs.

because the authorities and the regulations of the university said so. i get the confusion, but these measures were established for a reason, and at least i am not in position to debate them at all, so if i was returning from an infected area like northern italy or iran, i would consult a doctor and stay away from public places until the incubation period passes, no questions asked. i'd probably rent a room in a local hotel and wouldn't even return home just to avoid infecting my son, my gf, and especially my mother and stepfather (68 and 70) under any conditions. just common sense i guess.
these phd students aren't virologists themselves to question the measures. one of them followed the protocol, didn't visit the university campus (still infected his wife, they are both in quarantine), the other one went to his regular classes plus visited a language course. now the authorities are trying desperately to track down those who might have contacted this idiot.
and i repeat, i get the confusion. like 3-4 weeks ago, a well-known hungarian infectologist gave an interview about covid-19, and he speculated that the virus can be contained in china, and a pandemic can be avoided. it was a sensible, considered interview from a knowledgeable person. some weeks later, we have ~150 deaths in italy. it's not some joke, it's more serious than most expected.

What happened: Women called the ambulance for her husband. Reported strong back pain, sneezing and coughing.
Ambulance picked him up, gave him a mask and whatnot.
They arrive at the hospital, and the doctor there puts off his mask before testing him for Corona.
That's it. Caused the entire hospital to go crazy. He didn't have Corona btw.
