Just got my first vaccine and had a reaction. Like 4 minutes after getting it I started feeling nauseous and lightheaded, and basically wanted to collapse. Then I started sweating profusely. They laid me down and took my blood pressure, it was like 100/60. It was almost like I was having a panic attack. They said they’ve seen this happen in a few other healthy and active younger folks. But now I’m freaked out and my arm hurts bad.
From what I heard arm/leg pain are quite regular. Even swollen.

Today I feel like shit. Hopefully it's false alarm.

Have you had allergic reactions to any vaccinations or medications in the past?

Not really, but I never get the flu shot and haven’t had a vaccine in a long time. This was definitely weird.

Sounds like a panic attack, were you particularly nervous about getting it?
Oh great. I have 38.3 temperature. Here we go.
    You'll be ok mate

I wasn’t really nervous about getting it. But the way they did it here was we got the shot and then we’re told to sit in a large auditorium with everyone else for 15 minutes, with masks on of course. I started feeling really hot and might have freaked out a little because there were a ton of people and maybe I felt a little trapped. I’ve had a couple similar situations before but not as bad, so maybe the fact that my arm was hurting plus getting overheated and some anxiety sitting in pushed me into an attack. Not sure

It's probable and the whole situation is a bizarre one. Feeling all good now?

Yeah I’m feeling much better now, thanks man. And even the arm is feeling better. I probably just freaked myself out once I started to feel the effects of the shot. Probably shouldn’t have had drinks last night either.

Drink lots of water prior to the 2nd shot. Avoid alcohol before and after the shot. Be mentally prepared for 2-3 days of 101-103F fever with body aches and chills. Try to schedule the 2nd dose on a Friday so that you have the weekend to recuperate.
