We don't really know what would have happened if Giovinco had been used much earlier. Giovanni Dos Santos and Bojan were introduced too early and their career didn't skyrocket since then.

Actually I think that Giovinco should b introduced at January when Nedved's performance deteriorated. Sometimes I'm thinking since Nedved is gonna retire and can't really hang on anymore and Gio is frequently on the bench, might as well introduce Gio and reduce Nedved's role gradually. This way both Nedved can be rested and Gio will slowly gain more experience with composure

Of course people will come out to say all this prolonging of introducing Giovinco was a good thing designed by Ranieri to nurture his growth, even despite the fact he did similar stuff early on. People are idiots, so word up to them.

Firstly, I don't know if there is any fan here who loves CR more than any our player, but you and few others, always make sure that it looks that way.

We had several players to use as bargain chips, several players co owned or loaned out there. We still have a decent influence on some of the Italian teams,
adding 15mil to that cause and you get our only realistic chance to pull that through.
We have bought enough mid-class players to afford a couple of top class ones.
And remember that you said that they are supposed to be strategical choices, players that would help us in the future, but in the future they cant be the backbone of a competitive Juve and if they were the second choice, they would only deny that chance from our youngsters!

Yeah, I'd agree we did have bargain chips, but again, I doubt it would be better to bring in a rotation class creative midfielder. I actually quite sure we tried, even though that ain't much considering Secco pulling the strings.

I think a smaller squad, with more quality and a larger role to our youngsters would offer more or less the same results, without a great loss to the practical overall quality but maybe an advanced help from the quality to the games we have suffered from lack of quality. And most important, a much more easier and effective work, for the building up of our future, competitive Juve.
Tiago, Almiron, Poulsen, Andrade etc already proved that they were not essential to our cause. History has already proven that!
And chances are, that they are not going to be essential to our cause, in the future either...
We could have trusted our youngsters more and maybe bring some of them earlier. We could also keep some of the squad players, we released for nothing, for added depth. The loses on results would have been minimal, esp if the youngsters/released players, were paired with a couple of quality and reliable starters!
A couple of quality starters/season would already give as a competitive squad, starting from next year! 2+2+2= half of the squad +Chiellini+ Buffon+ Treze+ DP+ Camo+ only a couple of our most promising youngsters (like Marchisio+Giovinco), would give us a full squad, of competitive players!

By the time we are going to add those extra players we didnt, DP, Treze and Camo will be nearly retirement and we will have to replace them instead of adding more starters!

The Marchisio was brought in for that particular role. We should first decide if he is good enough to be a starter and then decide if we need a starter or a sub like Poulsen when Zanetti or Tiago leaves us.
In the mean time, when we buy subs that might be useful for the future, we lack starters today in our defense. When are we going to start enhancing our defense?? With the money we used to get Poulsen, we could get a starter full back!

Some here seems to be amazed from what they've seen yesterday from Gio where the guy impressed every single time he played with the Azzurrini or even with Empoli last season.
The sad thing is Gio IMO won't stick around long in this club with ranieri on charge.
