Great sub by Ranieri at half time.

Bringing on Poulsen changed the game.

Good to see him be a bit more flexible with regard to the shape as well. Allowed Giovinco enough freedom to excell.

You're such a funny Racialist.

I just hope not too many people are blessed with your presence.
Isnt this a direct insult? I`m no english expert, but i looked up the word racialist, and it has a lot of similarities, with the word racist, and i am no racist, if so i would ask someone to ban him.

It's just a word. I mean, grow up, are so you soft, Fritz?

Racialist you are: your fault for picking a completely retarded online monicker.

How can you be sure of that, since we didnt even try, our first priority was to get Amauri all along. Smth we have been planning, even before the transfer window started.
If we were spending 15mil cash, + Nocerino+ Zalayeta to Napoli, we could sign Hamsik, i m sure of it! Or any other similar target in Italy.
You must be dreaming! No way would Napoli accept that offer.

You think all clubs would consider a cash plus player deal? Especially Napoli for Hamsik?

You ask why we buy midclass players but none with creativity...well I say because it's easier to find cheap midfielders with moderate distribution abilities than a creative player.
That said though, VDV was pretty cheap, wondering y we didn't get him as rumoured.
I thought Gio would have had more chances though, thats why we didn't get a creative player, guess I was wrong, hope not for too long though.

Again, we had a plan and of course and I think Secco didn't execute well by his inability to cut deals. But I don't think our transfer strategy was poor.

Just take a look at how useful our buys have been this year, coincidence or not even having Poulsen under perform is better than not having a midfielder at all.

We could have made better purchases but it was poor, not this season. Perhaps lasts.

You see though, they always attack the person (me) instead of the idea. They know I'm right but are not intelligent enough to form a retort towards what I say. Ranieri has been wrong in not playing Giovinco all this time, yes it has cost us points, they know it, but they're so obsessed with defending this guy that they can't really decipher the good from the bad anymore.

The truth hurts, as the saying goes, but it always flows out of the pipeline somehow. It's just too bad Juventus has to be the one that suffers.

you take yourself way too seriously. people must describe you as uptight in real life...

and no, everyone said gio should slowly but surely be introduced to the first team, which is what has happened. hes started the last 3 serie a games and is showing what hes truly capable of, and itll probably continue.

As if you know me in real life. As I said, attacking the person not the idea, you need to grow up.

Giovinco should have started all these games because he's a better player than what we have, his performances demonstrate that, so it already proves you and Ranieri wrong. Stop being a defeatist.

I totally agree with you that, Gio should have played from the start of the season, and you wont find a post from me where i say otherwise.

As for Ranieri, I agree that we need a better coach to take a step forward where the silverware lies. But I dont think firing him in the middle of the season as a good idea, or taking a gamble with "winners" such as Prandeli.

The thing is I support most of your ideas, because most of them are good, playing Giovinco, changing to a better coach a more flexable one, who could adopt different systems according to our opponents, although it seems Ranieri has started to make crucial changes according to situation, but they are a bit too late in the season. I also agree that there were a lot of games where we really went out to play a match without any game plan whatsoever.

What is my problem with you mate, is your attitude, and words. I Like to read your posts in financial sections and they seem reasonable and well structured and interesting to read. But when you go on wishing for everybody to die around you, cursing almost every player from the club, pissing on almost everyone who disagrees with you, thats where my problem lies. This is a public forum, where one cannot act as you do.

Peace :agree:

Ranieri closes Trez row
Saturday 14 March, 2009
Claudio Ranieri praised Sebastian Giovinco and insisted the argument with David Trezeguet “is over.”

Juventus crushed Bologna 4-1 this evening, but were trailing 1-0 at the break before Giovinco inspired a comeback.

“We were a little too passive in the first half and couldn't set our tempo. The midfield was a bit stretched out too, made worse by the fact Bologna had an extra man in there,” explained Ranieri.

“In the second half we stepped on the accelerator and it was a really great performance.”

With Pavel Nedved injured, Giovinco played left midfield and proved decisive. So have Juve found the post-Nedved man for that position?

“We have not found a new Nedved, we have found Giovinco. The boy has talent and had already shown he could spark a reaction in the side during the last half-hour against Chelsea. We must give him time to grow.

“Obviously by playing more often he will create a better rapport with his teammates, but I always expected him to combine well with [Alessandro] Del Piero.

“It is important to point out he is not a Nedved replacement. He moves in a very different way and that affects the movements of the whole midfield and attack.”

Tinkerman transformed the side by replacing Tiago Mendes with Christian Poulsen at half-time, but tried not to pin the blame on the Portuguese midfielder.

“He was very tired at the end of the first half and told me he really couldn't do what he wanted to. It was everything that turned it around, from the goal to increased determination and confidence.”

The last few days have been dominated by the public row with Trezeguet, who complained to newspapers that he did not agree with Ranieri's decision to substitute him against Chelsea.

“There was a discussion and it's over,” assured the Coach.

“He doesn't have to earn back my trust, as that has always been with him. As far as I am concerned, the matter is done with. These are internal matters and when the club wants to comment, it will.

“I said my piece in a frank and tough manner, as this is how the locker room works when you want to win something.

“I just tried to point out what was the right way to behave in the locker room. That's it.”

Bianconeri general manager Jean-Claude Blanc commented on the affair by noting: “There are rules at Juventus, Ranieri did well to remind everybody of them.”

It remains to be seen whether Trezeguet will remain in Turin next season after this outburst.

“We are rebuilding Juventus and it is still an on-going process,” explained Ranieri. “Now we need to understand who wants to take on this responsibility, as the Coach and club cannot do it on their own.

“This is the same speech I gave the squad at the start of the season and the situation hasn't changed. We need those players who feel they are a part of this club and the plans for the future.”

Where will he play?

here is answer to you from Giovinco. I just hope you are intelligent enough and that you will understand what he says and please don't attack me, i am just a "messenger"

“The Coach knows the position where I give my best. I am happy to play, don’t get me wrong.

It’s just that there are some situations where I have to keep coming back to help out the defence and I find I’m not as sharp when attacking. I don’t have Nedved’s stamina, so that is a bit of a problem for me.”

Do you play at PennSt?
Nah but I play IM. Not a good enough player for the top level.

Giovinco is a great young man who knows his limitations. But are you, as a Juventus fan, seriously going to undercut his potential as a catalyst towards our Scudetto objective? Again, you lot are not thinking clearly and just agreeing with Ranieri no matter what he does. Giovinco is better than the competition and has shown he's no worse than Marchionni when it comes to defense, so I honestly don't understand why you people just can't accept YOUVE BEEN WRONG AND SEBA SHOULD HAVE PLAYED ALL THIS TIME.

I mean seriously, this is just too much bullshit really. We could have beat Chelsea if this kid was in the team all the time, just as I've been saying for months.

But okay, don't acknowledge my opinion and just go on as usual, as clearly I'm in the wrong here and Seba should be benched...

Ranieri said that it's over and that he solved the issue with David, I think it's time to move on and forget what happened, really.
Just a small case blown out of proportions. Players frown and fret from time to time upon substitution
A really important move if we r to go on to win trophies.
