What's wrong with it? In fact Amauri and Diego had already proven themselves for several seasons and still couldn't turn up for us.

mind explaining the similarities to me? because last I checked, Pogba has been performing for us for over a year while amauri had a half season stint where he was impressive and then declined. not to mention the difference in age, position, and style of play.

Claudio Marchisio is hoping to return to action on Sunday in Juventus’ home game against Verona.

The Italian international has been sidelined since picking up a knee injury in August’s Italian Super Cup Final win over Lazio.

The midfielder had been pencilled in to be at the disposal of boss Antonio Conte for next week’s midweek round tie at Chievo.

However, the 27-year-old could be named in the squad for the Week 4 action if he doesn’t suffer any fitness setbacks between now and the Juventus Stadium tie.

You still don't get it, it's not about the player Pogba, but that he is in similar situation that Diego and Amauri was. I think Hustini coverid it quite well.

Amauri was proven? Apart from his last season in Palermo he was pretty average striker. Pogba won U21 WC and was selected as the best player of the tournament. As of few months ago he's also standard member of French NT. All that achieved at the age of 20. How do those two relate?

I believe he's the real deal. But he's only started 21 total Serie A matches for Juve yet. That's barely half a season's worth.

How is that the same?

Besides, does it really matter who of the 2 the better individual player is? For me, it doesn't. What I care about is what's best for the team, or in other words: putting the best possible team out there.

Which, in regards to Marchisio, inevitably leads to a very simple question: is the team better with or without Marchisio in it?

I haven't seen anything (yet?) to point me in the "without" direction. Others probably will have, going by what you tend to read on here.

How you go about fielding him or who needs to make room for him is an entirely different matter.

If that means one of them out of the team: perfect.
If it means both of them in the team: perfect.
And if it means both of them out of the team: perfect as well.
