At this moment in time the defender has not touched CR7. He is also going down no matter what . It doesn't matter if the defender touches him.
Yet he is already falling and that is why he doesn't get anything .
It's because he has already decided to fall instead of trying to play the ball.
He could have continued the play if he wanted to or at least go for the ball. Instead he tried to force a penalty and the referre didn't want to give it to him.
His position after he stopped the ball is unnatural.

Actully i played a lot of it as a sunday league player .
You only look at the contact . When judging a play you should look at the whole context of it .
The contact is undenaible , but the way the contact is made doesn't warrant a penalty and i expect most of the publications and pundits to agree with me.
On another day , another referee could have given it.

Ronaldo's position when the contact is made.
Usully you fall as a result of someone making contact with you, not fall in the hope that an oposition player makes contact with you.

Anyway it doesn't matter now.

Yeah Ronaldo lost his balance but recovered to go past the defender which put his body in the way for a clear blocking foul.
This is a clear penalty. I heard Sky sport + other past coaches said they would have given a penalty.

The good news is we totally can.
The bad news - Pirlo is a problem. Not creating almost anything against Porto for 90 minutes - Fucking Porto and not Bayern or something.. This is the real problem.
The whole style is problematic as we are too laid back instead of being aggressive - We play with slow tempo and then try open opponents defense - Im sorry but this is not how you create.
On the other hand - When we attacked in a faster way due to the number of minutes remaining we looked far more dangerous.

people talk over a frame where Ronaldo isn't perfectly balanced ignoring the fact that he just did a backheel stop to dribble the defender and he did in hundred of times in his careeer.
Even if he was perfectly balanced you can see the defender ramming on him so it doesn't change anything

None here believe we can win Champions League or anything we just need to get on as much as we can for the money.

Everyone bar Arthur (just traded and too expensive to sell on our books) and McKennie.

Rabiot,Bentancur and Ramsey should be free to go if we get any offer.
Ramsey high wages and unfit most of the season. We can't really count on him.
Rabiot mediocre guy on high wages. A liability.
