is it me or I think that we can beat arsenal (given the players at the disposal) only if we play 3-5-2:

BUffon

Kovac Thuram Canna

Zambrotta Emerson Chiellini

Mutu Nedved

Zlatan Trez

This is an attacking and defensive formation at the same time. I mean Zambrotta and Chiellini should attack from the flanks all the time and this will leave some space to Nedved and Mutu. Also considering that Arsenal will probably play with only Henry upfront two of our defenders can deal with him and the other one plus Emerson can deal with the other one
I don't know if this is the only way to hopefully go through but I know that if we go with the same formation and only confidence we will end up like against liverpool last year. Capello should do smth that will surprise arsenal and I think this formation somehow would.

Anyway I hope we can qualify and Nedved will play the game of his life (God how we miss Alex)

FORZA JUVE
Looks interesting that attacking-defensive combination....but to bad,Gianni must be somewhere in the line-up,atleast Capello said so.

Juve to be without Del Piero vs. Arsenal

April 4, 2006
TURIN, Italy (Ticker) - Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Arsenal due to injury.

The Italy international has been one of the in-form players for the Turin giants this season and even became the club's all-time leading scorer.

Del Piero missed the first leg with the injury and now Juve will be without its talisman as it attempts to overturn a 2-0 deficit against the Gunners from the first leg of their quarterfinal.

Del Piero has been nursing a thigh strain but it has not healed.

Fabio Capello, the Juve coach, was hoping to have all of his attacking options available with both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Trezeguet ineffective at Highbury last week.

Those two players are set to start against Arsenal.

"Del Piero has not been called," Capello confirmed in his press conference before Wednesday's game.

The coach now will be without four key players for the game.

Mauro Camoranesi, Patrick Vieira and Jonathan Zebina all are suspended.

"I never cry about what I don't have," Capello said. "I'm always positive. I am happy with the team I have and I am confident that we can do well."

Czech playmaker Pavel Nedved missed the first game with a ban and returns to the lineup.

"Nedved is a crucial player, he is a Golden Ball Award winner," Capello said. "He is able to change the rhythm of a team during a game. And considering we have to attack from the very beginning, he will be important for us."

Also Wednesday, Barcelona will host Benfica after the squads played to a 0-0 draw in Portugal last week.

On Thursday, Internazionale tries to maintain its 2-1 lead at Villarreal, while Lyon visits AC Milan after a scoreless first leg.

I think Capello has heard rumors of this formation, but only from watching TV. ;)

so a 442 formation.

our best shoot will be scoring a goal with in the first 15 mins to shater the confidence of the arsenal player.

we must hit with a fest of iron, strike and strike hard.

Buffon

Zambrotta - Cannavaro - Thuram - Chiellini
Mutu - Giannichedda - Emerson - Nedved
Trezeguet - Ibrahimovic

This is what it will be, and I consider it an upgrade from the lineup at Highbury.

If we score before the first 25 min. We will have a lot of chances, if not...we are out :S

any chance of capello pulling a fast one and Dp being on the subs bench tomorro
it was capello's choice not to include del piero, he felt he isn't ready, if it was up to me i would play him anyway

well zambro thuram canna cheillini should have been the backline in highbury not zebina.

if we just had one of camo or Dp id be a lot more confident the only real bench options now in an attacking sense are olivera and zalayeta, unless cap imprevisses and starts or brings on balzeretti at RB pushing zambrotta to right midfield.

although i suppose a trident of trez zlatan and mutu is another option.

so although depleted juve still have options will cap use them.

quite simple we must start brightly impose our style and dictate to them and at least be 1-0 up at half time
