Something worth noting, I'm sure everyone has realized this but when we play with evra as lwb, we really play with a back 4. Allegri gives Licht more freedom to go forward and he sort of takes the defensive duties away, so if you think about it there is really no reason we should be affected by the doubling up on the wings, even if the formation is a 3-5-2.

If they start him or even throw him on as a sub, I'd be more happy than scared
I am with you on this one; Cerci is one of the most over-rated players around

ps: considering I am top of the Champions League predictions table, I did bet on a 2-2 for our game ....

The only direct benefit will come if Atlético use a 4-3-3, so we can then slot into a genuine back 5 (or 4 if Bonucci is sweeping) when defending, with authentic fullbacks in those positions.
I thought Asa can cope with this well.

I like Evra, and I'm personally satisfied with his performances but I think Asa would be more usefull and faster for a high tempo match.

He's ok but positionally he's not a real fullback and doesn't think like one, he makes up for it with his athleticism.

I'm happy we have genuine options for the left side now, debating who should start shows strengthening In the squad. Couldent imagine people debating whether to start DeCeglie, Asamoah or Peluso.

It's Matchday motherfuckers! :weee:

God, I haven't been this excited for a match since Real Madrid's encounter last year. Oh, and Asamoah must play.

Pretty much. I can't wait for this one, it should be great.

I also like how Atletico plays, it's gonna be a real test for us tonight.

As for Asamoah, I agree that he should play.

Fake fans will be posting in the live thread, not really paying attention to the match. Real fans will not get away from the TV for a second and will be shitting bricks every second of it.

I have tons of respect for Atletico at the moment. Every time I read their name I remember how they won the title last year, which is simply incredible, seeing how they have both Real and Barca in Spain. Something to admire.

Hopefully we see a great display from our boys tonight.

I wish they were all sold.
Padoin is untouchable.
He is not bad at all and his no look pass for Liecht was somewhat Pirlesque
