Dude, ever Blatter claimed that UEFA fix draws
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...-balls-as-fifa-corruption-probe-a7081161.html

Unfortunately football is corrupt due to the amount of money it brings.

I do not think that refs are 'bought,' but I do think there is a lot of doggy dealing in terms of which country hosts tournaments and draws by UEFA/FIFA.
Wouldn't frozen balls show condensation?

We drew Bayern 2 years ago before qf.

Did Mourinho just say that now? The guy who just lost to Sevilla to also make QFs.
That was part of his "football heritage" moan speech.

So how do they do it?
Two warm balls (Barca and Real) and the super rich football superstars who draw the balls are told not to pair the warm balls together? If they bother to make this blatant crime, why stop at the two warm balls? Why don't they go a step further by making sure that Barca and Real get an easier draw? Last year Real got Bayern in the quarters and Barca got Juve. Leicester, Dortmund and Monaco were in the quarters too. Since they had the two warm balls, it wouldn't have been a problem to add two cold ones.
They have different ex footballer involved with the draw though from various different clubs. They have had like Totti, Roberto Carlos, Sheva, Figo, Zanetti, Maldini in recent years.

How much uefa pays them to stay quiet about it? Cause these ex players who are made ambassadors of final like Sheva this year with Ukraine hosting the final have to all be part of the fix. They are picking the balls during the draw. And every season a new different ex player is involved with the draw so this cycle just gets bigger and bigger. Eventually someone with a big mouth will reveal it. Seems rather risky imo.

Ive heard they actually cooling the balls.

If there is any fixing at the European level than it is in favor of Manchowder. The group stage draws they get are unbelievable.

Their group is somehow always composed of the shittiest teams from each of the pots.

I dont buy it. If they fix it why the uefa secretary just doesnt draw it on his own. They call ex legends to the draw to pick the balls like Sheva, Maldini, Figo, Ian Rush. These players must all be part of the act and never reveal it. I feel like for some it might be against dignity. Also they are fixing draws for teams they have no connection like say Totti or Ian Rush. Why would ex pool player want to make easy draw for Man utd team? He is Liverpool through and through.

Id understand if the uefa secretary and assistant draw the balls on his own. But every season they call different ex player and tell him to pick warm and cold balls? Like i said eventually they will end up calling some expro turned alcoholic who will reveal it all to daily tuttosport for 2000 euros. Dont buy it.

The best way to pick the balls is to literally do it really fast without moving your hand around too much to get a feel for the balls

When I see someone with their hand in the bowl constantly moving the balls around and feeling lots of them it does seem fishy

I'm surprised Uefa don't coach them on how to pick the ball out super fast to avoid controversy

Blatter is the last guy who should talk about corruption and fixing. Or his opinion is valid just because he is expert in this field? 2002 hot korean balls.

Actually doing it superfast would be as suspicious. You are a man and you cant touch balls for more than 2 seconds?

Mourinho: "In the UCL, there are four clubs that are always there in the quarter-finals. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus & Bayern are always there. They're always there for some reason.

After them, every now & then, clubs like my Inter or Monaco appear in the QFs."
Well how can Inter be there if they dont even qualify for the actual competition?

This balls talk always reminds me of this

- - - Updated - - -

I thought it's fairly obvious he's not only speaking about recent years
Well often Barca, Bayern, Real, Juve win their groups so there is no possible way they draw each other first knockout rounds.

Barca and Real cant draw each other before qf for country protection rules anyway. Mou makes it sound like why arent Real and Barca drawns together BEFORE quarters.

Largely ridiculous comment from ex Real manager. And like i said Bayern-Juve was only two years ago.

Mourinho has turned into bitter old man whose tactics are outdated to compete in europe anymore.

This has nothing to do with the draw and how often they meet against each other

He basically complimented the four teams for their consistency. Take the compliment and shut up.

Back to the RM game-

we have the tools to beat them and in Allegri we have the tactician, but like in our glorious victories in this fixture in the past, we need the players to step up and grab the game by the scruff of the neck like nedved and del piero etc

Looking at you pjanic, costa and dybala

(ok pjanic for the 2nd leg, and higuain gets a pass for winning us the spurs tie)

Edit: its going to be ronaldo isnt it, ffs

I dont see what UEFA has to gain from helping RM and Barca not meet each other. But its easy to see what they have to gain by fixing a pairing every now and then. Anyways, I.felt strongly about this during Platini's reign, when people were guessing the pairings at a very good rate, draws under Ceferin were much more random

It's true, pile of shit groups every year. In reverse order:

Basel, CSKA, Benfica (1st)
Wolfsburg, PSV, CSKA (3rd)
Leverkusen, Shakhtar, Sociedad (1st)
Galatasaray, Cluj, Braga (1st)
Benfica, Basel, Galati (3rd)
Valencia, Rangers, Bursaspor (1st)
CSKA, Wolfsburg, Besiktas (1st)
Villarreal, Aalborg, Celtic (1st)
Roma, Sporting CP, Dynamo Kyiv (1st)
Celtic, Benfica, Copenhagen (1st)
Villarreal, Benfica, Lille (4th)
Lyon, Fenerbahce, Sparta Prague (2nd)

That's 12 editions and they've met a couple of strong teams the entire time, the 04-05 Lyon and 07-08 Roma.

Cooling the balls is brilliant on a scene with theatre and tv-spotlights, and balls with a very small mass. And keeping them from becoming wet when condensation sets in.

Was there a player who dominated Juve like Ronaldo? In my +20 years of fanhood, nobody we faced comes even close. He scored in each of the 5 CL matches against Juve, a total of 7 goals. You just know that at one point in 90 minutes he will score. We will need at least 3 goals to go through. Probably 4 goals. In Turin we must score at least 2.

Lol UEFA would make more money if there were two El Clasico games in CL instead of one final. They're not trying to fix it ffs.

First of all they avoid Last 16 meeting as per rules, that reduces the odds right away.

Naah i think a showpiece final would be more than 2 games at a prior stage, its not linear
