Pathetic from Di Francesco. First of all a 3-5-2 vs. a 4-3-3 is a big mismatch, let alone allowing Kolarov to be so aggressive and vacate *that exact area* that Salah enjoys getting the ball.

The exact area!

Put a LB there ffs. Put 2 players there.
It's like he didn't prepare at all ffs.

Klopp - one of the easiest, most predictable coaches out there and you play right into his hands? Really?

But questions need to be asked why Higuaín was somewhat a superstar under Sarri and not under Juve?
Our 4-4-2 is setup for Dybala to receive balls between the opponent' defense and midfield lines. So Higuain stays right on the CBs, to pin them back.

At Napoli it was a 4-3-3 where the wingers played higher and stretched the opponent's defensive line laterally and also looked for Higuain every chance they got. And Higuain had a bit more space as a result of Napoli's width and constant ball movement.

Cristiano was regarded as one of the best talents in the world when United signed him. He exploded in 2007 once Ferguson started using him like a forward than a midfielder.

Now imagine Dybi being used the same way :baus:
slow ass Dybi being used like speed demon Salah? hed be Firmino in this system of Klopp

I knew it was going to be tough for them with the 3-5-2, it's a terrible formation to use against teams with pace in a 4-3-3. So much space out wide to exploit and then one cutback to the middle when the centre midfielders cover the wings because of no wingers
