These 1/8 matches played so far made me realize we are among 3 main favorites to lift the trophy this year.

I've never been so confident.

Agreed, I don't even think Bayern or Real look as good as they used to be. Arsenal were more terrible than Bayern were good. Besides we always knock out Real in the knockout stages these days anyway lol.
As long as Allegri doesn't adopt the inferior mentality like he did against Bayern next year, then I think we will win it

I told you Ancelotti will ruin Bayern :touched:
:ratcafe: He did a great job ruining them indeed :baus:

They are probably the most dangerous team in the CL. They have the best coach, players, and depth. I really hope we avoid them at all costs. If we somehow make it to the final, and end up facing them, I hope they have an off day, a couple of injuries, and our players have the game of their lives. We take the lead through Higuain, Bayern equalize, and then we score a second goal with an exquisite Pjanic free kick. Then, as Bayern are pushing forward, a deflected cross falls to Dybala on the edge of the box, and he unleashes a scorching volley into the top corner.

3-1 Juve :donedeal:

Man all the talk about who we are to play in the quarter finals let alone who is best to meet in the final and we haven't played the first leg against Porto yet :sergio:

They're not ok. If you want a winning mentality for your team then don't support Arsenal as long as these people are in charge. Success for them is on the balance sheet.

There are those who understand and appreciate how well-run the club is, but their mix of turning profit and Wenger's years-old method of trying to develop his own players means they end up getting left behind. Oh, and his teams are soft.

While I believe we are contenders and have the capability of making a deep CL run, all this nonsense about how we are favourites to win the CL, or how the only thing that can stop us is Allegri instilling the wrong mentality, etc. is just embarrassing.

Winning the CL is really tough for any team not just us. So you could argue that all the fans that think they are the favorites to win it are a bit delusional. I think we have pretty much as good of a chance at winning it as any other team in the competition. Could easily go out against Porto too if things go bad.

Alot of posters here talk the talk too much, we haven't proven anything yet, Zach syndrome on high alert lately. Building themselves up to failure by getting ahead of themselves in expecting or assuming we winning CL without actually showing any strong indications for it yet. Huge amount of knock out games are luck and pure timing of form at the time.

We will get past Porto, but it remains to be seen if we can be tactically solid enough with new approach and more importantly can be decisive enough to take on Real and Bayern, who have more proven match winners then us.

Winning the CL always depends on a lot of factors. When you're playing at this high a level, the form of the day will often prove to be most important. That being said, having looked at the teams so far I think we are definitely contenders.

As we should be every season imo.

There's a big difference between believing we can win the CL and expecting to win it.

I definitely believe we have what it takes to win it. But so do several other teams.
