I don't know if this book has been talked about yet on this thread or not but I started reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett yesterday. So far it's fine but if anyone has read it before is it worth continuing? I have loads of other books I want to read during the summer and I want to know if the book is worth it.
Fantastic book dealing with the 1864 battle of Cold Harbor. One of the major battles of the Unitred States' Maj. Gen. U.S. Grant's so called "Overland Campaign" against Robert E. Lee's Confederate Army of Northern Virginia. A detailed showing that even this far into the war those in charge did not realize that you just cannot thrown infantry assaults against an entrenched line of veterans without horrific results. Sadly the lesson still wasn't learned some 50 years later during the First World War.

Read it too, its bit inconsistent because you notice the different between the two authors quite clearly (atleast for me, familiar with their styles), but its quite witty and charming book.
I read some more before I went to bed and so far I really like it. I really liked Anansi Boys and American Gods so I thought this one would be just as good. It's been a while since I read a really engaging book.
this week i read two novels by James Patterson, they were both cool and very good thrills 4th of July and Pop Goes the Weasel
both of the stories were interesting and have very dazzling ends.. if you look for fluent and good adventure, you should give a try for Patterson stuffs
Don't. The English version stinks, I've read that one too (actually the Dutch version, but it's the English one translated). It's written by a guy who's basically intent to convince you that whatever he thinks about the various topics so should you, so once he feels he's said enough to convince you about something his job is done. That garbage should never have been published.
The French edition is written by a French author, is about twice as long and very good.
I've been on a bit of a reading frenzy at the moment. So far over the last few months I've read-
Alice in Wonderland (stupid book)
Master and Margarita (best book I've read)
Hamlet
and now I'm reading The Prince by Machiavelli.
Now embarking upon L'art d'avoir toujours raison. If you know how it ends don't say anything, I have high hopes for this promising title. Let's see what you got, Schopenhauer.
I was going through my Kindle and I came across The Game of Life by Dante Leone. I have no idea what it is and don't remember putting it there, so I just read a page or two of it, before I googled to see what it's about. Lol, so this was the 2nd result under the search:
