I'm rather surprised people are saying Montolivo had a decent/good game. I thought he was pretty poor.

Italy won't beat Germany though, I can't see it happening, even though I'd love to see Italy in the final.

Who could replace Balotelli and Cassano? Jewstinko is out of his depth on this level, Di Natale is a choker and Borini is too inexperienced.
"Jewstinko" never really got the chance on this level and Di Natale has been a choker until now, but he did well against Spain. Balosmelli on the other hand, has some qualities (mostly shooting from distance) but he is no way near a good player yet. He doesnt deliver a finished product.

Calling Di Natale a choker when he has scored the only open play goal for them this euro, and he did it the instant he was subbed in against friggin Spain, is a laugh. And not a reason to keep him out when Cassano was as useless as he was last night.

I remember when Totti did this to van der Sar. Pirlo's chip was way better though, exactly in the middle as it should be. What makes it even better is that Hart had it coming with his clown antics. =]

By the way, does anybody remember Pirlo did this to Buffon, too? Supercoppa 2003.

Italy were amazing, but it's a shame they won't beat Germany. The players played 120 minutes and only have 2 days to recover while the Germans will have 4 days after only 90 minutes where they had some players rested.

And Balotelli shouldn't start against Germany, I swear Borriello would've scored some of the chances that cunt Balotelli missed.

He should not play in the starting 11 again, he had an awefull game yesterday with some passes that went into some 'dangerous' counters from England.

Don't even wanna start about his penalty.....

Here's something...

Apparently the English are much better prepared physically than the Italians? What changed? I thought Italy did look tired in the groups but last night they played with swagger.

120 min in the legs, 2 days less to prepare and some injury problems... italy will get eliminated this time from the germans. we will see a great match but i guess italy will be tired after 60 mins.
who the hell came up with this stupid schedule where one team plays 2 days before the other? and if we do survive, the Final is only 2 days after the Semi on Sunday. WTF seriously messed up planning !

England was total rubbish as they like to say.... Seriously we dominated the whole game from start to finish, shame it had to go to PKs but that game could have easily finished 3-0 Our guys in the front have to start making their chances. I thought yesterday on some occasions that Balo had that a player like Pazzini would have scored. Lets get ready for the Germans, F them and their arrogant attitude!
