Mata's last decent season was 2 years ago, his last "offensively better" was 3 seasons ago. He is so lazy Mourinho sold his sorry ass, and he is average at united aswel.
Oscar is 3 years younger, despite slipping down with the rest of the team in the EPL this year, he has had only good seasons, and he is quite good in the CL this season despite a failing chelsea.

I saw some matches of Utd. this season, but Mata isn't te worldclass player some saying. He is too inconsistent, his matches are a four or a nine. He hasn't the work-ethic of for example Oscar and do maximal 3-5 really impressive things in a match. Juan Mata is a good player but he doesn't defend and that is really important for our tactics. I like him but i will not pay more than 15-20 million, and 20 is the maximum.

I think we need a hardworking attacking midfielder. With Dybala, Pogba, Marchisio and even Morata (!) we have enough creativity to play our style of football. If we play like Barcelona or Bayern Munchen we need more creative players, but I see Juve more as a team like Atletico Madrid, Dortmund (if we talks about tactics etc.)

- Saponara
- Alex Texeira
- Di Maria, but looks unreachable atm
- Oscar
- Banega (?)

And than is the question: will these players better than Pereyra as AM, if yes are the worth that amount of money?
I think only Texeira and Di Maria will be a big upgrade, Saponara will be good too if you can get him for low fee max 15 million.

Calhanoglu will cost a lot plus he's a glorified free kick specialist more than anything.

I agree with Crimson about Mata though.He's indeed a lazy fuck but the fact that Juventus midfield is built around runners/hard working players might help compensate this and maybe get the best out of him too.

At the end of the day beggars can't be choosers.There are several rich teams above us and if an opportunity like Oscar arises, I'll take it.He's admired by Allegri as well so there's that too.

Banega is a starter for Milan, Inter , Napoli etc

But he's a sub material for Juventus.He wouldn't start in our midfield.
