All that needs to be said.

Just bcuz we pass a coupla lame-ass second rate european noobs in EL doesn't mean we're gonna walk our way to CL glory with this crappy brand of football. On the contrary the struggles we have against these crappy teams shows we'll get own by top CL contenders if we continue playing like this.
We get owned by the likes of Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

so don't go and blame when I suggest players. suggestions like shaqiri konoplyanka make sense.

and also don't moan if I say we need to switch to a 433 because we do.
because they are unrealistic and quite frankly at times retarded suggestions

sorry to break it to you but barcelona were eliminated from europe last night.

From Europe? Are you suggesting a Ferrari (the UCL) is the same as a Toyota (the EL)?

yeah i am, I'd rather be in a European cup semi final than to be some team that 'owned' a bigger team and yet failed to make it beyond the group/2nd round
Gala made is further than us in UCL, that automatically makes their European campaign more successful than ours.

Fighting for the EL is like fighting for food scraps of Europe. Though I would take food scraps for now.

You really need to write a paragraph in Italian to prove you are one.

i bet you thought our european campaign was a failure last season for being knocked out at the quarters, oh well at least we did better than atletico madrid who won the EL right?
The way we played against Celtic (yes everyone berates me for this) and Bayern, was a huge failure and we've been playing the same way in Europe ever since.

I'd be more than happy if we won it, but it doesn't change the fact that we were kicked out of a prestigious competition by provincial clubs.
it's all part of the building process. doing well in the EL is vital to gaining experience and understanding of European cup knock out competition, don't be so foolish to snub this competition regardless of revenue and prestige

I'm seriously not even going to bother going into the celtic argument

I'm not snubbing anything, just highlighting the fact that you can't compare EL to UCL.

I'm all for a building process but Conte has been building the team wrong. He has far to many defenders and strikers in the team therefore he likes 3-5-2 or 5-3-2.

He could have chose to build a 4-3-3 squad last season but ignored it in favour of the 3-5-2 which we already knew was not going to take us further in Europe by not creating a single goal scoring opportunity against Bayern in 180 minutes of play.

He has taken us backwards since his first year. I look at Atletico Madrid play and thats the team Juve should have been by now. Tough to beat, players that run their socks off for each other and a deadly attack. We have none of that right now.

We have a team constantly under performing and creating very little in matches and that is why we are in the EL and not the CL. The EL is a mickey mouse competition sure it's nice to win it but we are in it because we failed in the CL not because we want to be in it.

He had a very nice thing going with the 4-3-3 we just needed a couple of players to improve the team and build on it for the future.

Now Conte has to ditch the 3-5-2 and almost start all over again with building a 4-3-3 team. His stubbornness has got him into this situation. Reus was available last season for 17 million instead we buy Tevez to play a 3-5-2 that will not take this team forward. Sure Tevez was a good signing but he is not flexible enough to play in a 4-3-3 and is 30 years old with maybe 1-2 years left at the top.

This team has went backwards in the last 2 seasons, this season especially has been a failure. Winning the EL was not one of our objectives at the start of the season so i see no reason for it to be an achievement.

Conte is clueless at times and looks like he has run out of ideas when we are against a good team with a good game plan that can hurt us. The only glimmer of hope from Conte was the 2 Madrid games when he finally changed the formation and looked like he could adapt in Europe.

I would love for Conte to prove me wrong and do really well in Europe but unless he starts changing his ways nothing will change for us in Europe. It's looking like he has taken us as far as he can take us if there is no improvement next season.
