The biggest issue is that our approach is suited to controlling the game, not to chasing it. When we give away goals from nothing to go behind it really fucks us from a tactical point of view.
It's absolutely imperative in the next few games that we keep it tighter at the back to give ourselves a chance to grow into the game and gain more confidence. These conceded goals are laughable, and force us to try rush football.

Then thats downright one dimensional.
I remember how Bayern Munich were a one-dimensional possession team who always used to struggle against park the bus teams.A season or two later they drastically improve their counter-attacking game which gave them more tactical flexibility and the results were there to see.

Oh man I had a terrible night. I went to sleep with my heart still racing like crazy and flashes of the horrible match going through my mind.
I really hope Conte changes the tactics and ditch this horrible 3-5-2 that has stagnated our play. I cannot take this anymore. The team is playing like a provincial team of the fifth division in the Mongolian league.

When Conte has chosen 3-5-2-, it was the wisest thing to do, becuase our defense was terrible, we were conceeding in every match and where we lacked quality, he fielded quantity.
Our roster was overcrowded with CMs and SSs and lacked LBs and CFs.
The situation is better now, but more or less we still have an abundance of CMs and a lack of LBs and CFs.
(unfortunately MArotta was proved as bad as Secco at finding Juve material LBs)
I adore the trident and i would be hrilled to see it, but Conte feels that we cannot turn Llorente into a starter just yet.
Having Tevez and Giovinco to create him would be of real benefit, but other than him, we still the options to field the trident.
And LB options are limited, Asamoah works best as a wide midfielder, he never player as a dedicated defender.
DC sux at defending and Peluso sux at football. Caceres has played the worst football in his carrier when he was tried as our LB, in our four man defense.
I havent seen enough of Ogbonna, but i am not sure of his pace and crossing.
The common fan, wants spectacle and focuses on our creativity issues, but the coach, espacially in Italy really wants to have his flanks secured.
Conte for sure, thas exactly what made the difference for him in the first place.

The main issue is having a different approach to change to if Plan A isn't working. It doesn't necessarily have to be a change in formation or even personnel, if you use players in a different way.
Our success has come from his methods, so I'm loath to start criticising now. Our strength has been covering all areas of the pitch and giving little away, winning games on details and sometimes by bigger scores. Now we are giving a lot away in small moments of games, and it kills us.

That's the main reason for our current difficulties. Just look at how easily most goals we have conceded this season could & should have been avoided. Teams that play against us right now don't need to create opportunities, they don't need to work to score a goal. We just gift them.
Take these very basic errors out of our game & it's an entirely different thing. And this has absolutely nothing to do with whatever formation you play.
