But as a wise member once said, we should prefer Destro to Osvaldo because he has more potential.
I like Destro.

Zeman's team actually makes him look worse than he is, because you mainly see his indifferent finishing rather than his excellent movement.

Better in a counter-attacking side.

Lichtsteiner plays better as RB than RWB, proven.

Asamoah is not a LWB no matter how good he doing (up to discussion).

If by fitting players you mean playing them out of position then you can by all means disagree.
What's the obsession with fielding players in "their position"? And not that I can't see where you're coming from, but how could you realistically improve on Asamoah at LB anyway?

There was a time when you could say Zambrotta is not a (wing)back, he's being played out of position.
Chiellini is no CB, he's being played out of position.

Obviously the formation and players out of position are the big issues now, not that we are missing several key players.

Funny how they weren't such big issues before.

Buffon

Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini

Lichtsteiner - Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio - Asamoah

Giovinco - Vucinic

Yep, our left side has been decimated, so I'm not about to throw the baby out with bathwater with regards to the 3-5-2. I just cant agree with the notion that is our formation that is the problem at the moment. It's clearly key players missing in certain position, poor finishing, poor positioning and performances by the replacements of those key players.

When all of our players are fit and available, I still think the 3-5-2 suits our players abilities/strength the most. The 4-3-3 is possibly more attacking minded, fluid and fun to watch, but it did leave our players burnt out and tired at times. But I would still like Conte to use it from time to time depending on our opponent.

And what's this I read about us not creating as many chances as we used to? We probably create more scoring opportunities with this formation than we did with the 4-3-3, but we all know how our strikers couldnt hit a cow's arse with a banjo, so we score 1 goal after every 20 shots.

if 4-3-3 fixes the "we lose possesion to easily" problem, then so be it.
if this results in 1-0 wins in stead of draws (1-1) or losses (1-2) so be it..

winning is what counts... (yeah i know we didn't like the crapello days, but with so many injuries we have no choice)

It's not obsession but seeing Asamoah offer nothing in attack is quite annoying, same can be said about Lichtsteiner but to a lesser degree. I know you will reply to me about Asamoah's assists but when was that and how long since did it last happen?

I've been complaining about Asamoah's involvement in attack ever since, not so funny any more?

Involvement in attack is not something I'd measure solely on assists, even if you can't deny the numbers. And much more important for me, is the balance your wingbacks provide. Knowing when to attack & knowing when not to, securing as much of their side as possible, being available out wide to spread play,...

For me, Asamoah is close to excellent in that regard. Which means I couldn't care less if he was a true LB, CF, CM or GK. In other words, if Asamoah is better at this job than 95% of the so called true LB's out there, is this then not also his position?

I'm quite aware of that.

Still, these were small issues. Now the big issue is players out of position, even though Asamoah hasn't been playing in these 2013 games. Maybe that tells it's own story...he's not so bad there.

I don't care about assists, the assists were numbers used against me when I complained repetitively on Asamoah. He is great in defending the wing and pinning opposing players back, he is good at recovering the ball but he loses it way too much for my liking. And about the formation which means nothing to me, it's only numbers if it has to be that way I am well aware he is the best option we have and there is absolutely no way we can buy someone else now in January (especially after we let Armero go to Napoli). And then again when he was bought in the summer was he bought to play as a wide player? I don't think so, he was bought to strengthen our already too strong central midfield.
