The details for such an arrangement would be worked out in the plea agreement, because there is no 'standard ban' process as far as I know. That's already hilarious enough as bias is guaranteed, but we can't stop laughing cause we know we are in Italy and close to creating a new process similar to online club management. I still remember Mourinho from the stands when he was banned for a few games - it was already an epic joke- and that was his point, I assume, showing off his disrespect towards a system that doesn't deserve any. This is why Mou is more than a manager, but thats another topic...

some guy that got accused of fixing games(3-5 years ago; settled for a 14 month ban, then got only 4 months) came out of nowhere yesterday by sending a 2 page fax(yes a fax) to Palazzi saying 2 other games of Bari were rigged. No mention in the media of Conte's involvement in this one but some say he mentions Conte by saying he "heard" some players say this and that...

when you go for a plea bargain and decide to collaborate you have to say EVERYTHING you know. Now he send this fax right when there's talk if Conte will plea bargain or not. He wouldn't be credible now in court.

If I was Agnelli, I would already be looking for a temp replacement for however long Conte is banned for. Fuck it, this is Conte's life we are talking about and no one should have to sacrifice carrying a "criminal tag" for life jut for the sake of a shorter punishment to appease fans.

Either way...if he takes the plea with a short ban it will have a "guilty tag"...if he tries to fight and gets the 12month ban he still gets the "guilty tag" regardless.

Fight for your right to be innocent. Its his life we are talking about. More important than a season.

Horrible situation, but I think taking the plea bargain is the right thing for Conte to do, from Juve's point of view, at least.

To take a three month ban (only two months really in the season) is a sensible decision to take in the circumstances.

If there is no faith in the system and it has already been decided that Carobbio's testimony will be trusted, I don't see how Conte can win the case.

That being the case, it's better just to cut one's losses and move on, as hard to swallow as it may be.

For what it's worth, I suspect Conte is probably guilty of the charge of not reporting a fix.

All I can say is that I look forward to all the others that there seems to be evidence against (various Napoli players, for instance) also being charged with the same offence.

I thought there was some pretty damning stuff coming out about their players before a game away to Sampdoria (I think it was Samp, anyway).

Enough of a prima facie case that something more ought to have come of it.

I think it's even more complicated in showing your innocence in a sporting trial when you have like 5min to defend yourself and are guilty until proven innocent. That's why I'm scared about Bonucci. I hope he brings on facts to the table like phone records and stuff showing Masiello didn't call him or send a sms...things like that.

In civil court it is, it is another thing in a sporting court though. They basically accept the plea bargain in order to avoid the more or less "useless" debate as Conte has a close to zero chance to prove his innocence. The plea bargain represents an opportunity Conte looks to take.

That's how I understood it at least.
