Of course we need a world class player. More than one actually.

At this point in time for Juve, when we can't get such players, it's better to buy very good players who fit the system (Vucinic for 15 + Vidal for 10 + Licht for 10 + Vargas for 12-13) instead Aguero for 45 and keep Iaquinta instead of Vuci, Sissoko instead of Vidal, Motta instead of Licht and Pepe instead of Vargas. My point is, as good as Aguero is he alone, playing alongside Pepes, Martinezs, Mottas and the likes, was not gonna change as much as replacing those idiots with good players is going to change.
If Aguero doesn't stand in the way of buying 3-4 very good players, then of course everyone would prefer him to Rossi or Vucinic.

But it's futile to discuss it since we obviously can not attract Aguero or players like him so we should go for the best available.

Same goes for Rossi. Buying him for 30m and sacrificing important positions in the team for Rossi is lunacy. I don't even rate Rossi higher than Vucinic, but even if I did rate him slightly better, I'd always choose Vucinic for 15+Vargas for 12+Lugano for 3 instead of splashing 30 for Rossi.
Jovetic and Mirko. Sign them both and we will be fine. Bring me a Vargas as well. None Italian but all come just as easily. :D

Good analysis, Alen.

I still have my doubts on how we will put enough pressure on the opposing team [the secret to Barcelona's succes]. But I'll wait to see who'll be our LM/LW until I pass judgement.

Antonio Conte praises his Juve after the success achieved in the third and final race of the American tour against Mexican side Chivas:
"I'm happy because even though we played two days ago, while changing almost all of the team's there was desire to apply the right ideas of playing and I think the guys are excited to play this kind of football "
" we still have to work and so, there will be sacrifice and that the road is long and difficult, but like this you aspire to do important things. "
" the tour was positive We played with opponents of international competitions, we have recovering players like De Ceglie and Quagliarella and I see a character that gives me hope. "

The "very good" category might include players like Rossi and Agüero, but none of those three (excluding Vidal who I don't really watch). That squad development should have happened last season, instead of the obvious waste of time. Juventus could have got Kun/Joe Red if they acted effectively, and if we weren't going to go for someone of that quality, then we should be aiming for the best possible player for LW.

Last year the "very good" Rossi would have cost us 15m eur while the "not as good" Vucinic 25m eur at least.

We obviously can't buy 6-7 players who'll cost us +20m eur each.

Since Rossi isn't any better than Vucinic it will be stupid to pay half more money for him, just like it was gonna be stupid to pay that much more for Vucinic last year.
We clearly can't buy the best players. I know very well what Juve needs, but what we must have in mind is that we can't just buy the players we need no matter their price. We can buy only players we need BUT for the right price.

I'm excluding the world class players (which Rossi isn't and is very far from) because we can't even get those guys.

I agree that this should have been done last year, though. If we did it now we could have gotten Aguero. But it wasn't done last year so we better do it now instead of buying Rossi for 30 million (will Villarreal accept 30?) and keep playing Barzagli and Pepe in the team.

My biggest concern is that Juventus is collecting players like Vargas, Vucinic and Lichtsteiner who were good enough for their respective teams, but didn't have the extra quality to bring their teams forwards into a real competitive spot. I think third will be achievable with them in the team, but it will be a struggle, and I think the team desperately lacks a fantasista type who would work wonders with these good players around him. I'm not saying that Rossi is that player now, neither is Kun, but these very good young players are yet to enter their primes, and it would be nice for them to do that as Juventus players.
