why does it matter? you could argue that Allegri may have not gotten this far without the foundations of Conte's work i.e. instilling a winning mentality, providing the necessary foundations to make this team what it is today. The way I see it what Allegri did was do more or less continue Conte's work i.e. continuing the 3-5-2 formation and mixed it with his ideas to make it a less predictable side. Conte's work in no way should be ridiculed regardless of Allegri's achievements now and in the future with this club the fact is Conte laid the ground work
I'm not denying Conte's impact on the club. Conte, AngellI and Marotta all played a massive part in our recent success.

How ever I think Conte took us as far as he could and im glad we have Allegri as our coach now who has definitely added a lot to our team.

@Badass Vidal if u could go back to last season and were offered to keep Conte or hire Allegri what would u do?

Could u see Conte doing what Allegri has done so far in Europe?
I'd say he would probably do the same. But when Allegri does it its more impressive. Its not his team. He wasn't on good terms with one of the squad leaders (pirlo). He hasn't been here for 3 seasons. He has the pressure of filling a great coach's shoes. He had a terrible reputation as a coach amongst fans when signed on everything thinking he will collapse. He was never part of Juventus' history and fans would have been impatient with him.

To come in as a new coach and then take the team to reach the high objectives on all fronts (League, Cup, CL) is definitely impressive. If he can get past Madrid then that would be a phenomenal season as he would have made the team punch above its weight.

Conte instilled the winning mentality and his extreme training methods taught the players to cooperate and understand each other on the pitch.

Allegri is one of the best there is at directing a mature squad that has defensive quality. He did not only show it here, but also in Milan. With Allegri, their veterans became an asset again after having been a burden since they won UCL. Ibrahimovic gets all the credit for their 2011 Scudetto, but he was the burden in the last months of the season when they got several crucial victories without him while he was getting consecutive bans.

We should appreciate both and be very happy to have got them at the right time

Conte: 'Bitter, but I go forward'

Italy Coach Antonio Conte is “bitterly disappointed, but I go forward” after trial was recommended in a match-fixing scandal.

Today the Cremona prosecutor suggested 104 people indicted for sporting fraud should go to trial, so now they’ll present the evidence to a judge who will decide whether or not to go ahead.

When it comes specifically to Conte’s situation, more details are emerging.

“I am bitterly disappointed, but I go forward,” he told Sport Mediaset.

It seems of the original two games ex-Siena boss Conte was indicted for, only one actually remains in the possible trial.

He was cleared for Novara-Siena and accused of sporting fraud in Albinoleffe-Siena, both in the 2010-11 Serie B season.

However, the description put forward by Prosecutor Roberto Di Martino suggests Conte is only accused of “failing to safeguard the moral conduct of his players” rather than performing any illegal acts himself.

This follows from the sporting trial into the same match, in which he was handed a 10-month ban (reduced to four on appeal) for “failing to alert the authorities to a potential fix.”

Conte always maintained his innocence, insisting he was unaware of any irregularities.

The Siena case was primarily built around the testimony of player Filippo Carobbio, but his version of events was denied by all of his teammates.

Didn't he already serve his time? Or is this a criminal prosecution while the other was by the FIGC?

Wasn't it like 20 players that said he there was no match fixing and the 1 player that said there was that was enough evidence to make him guilty? Quite funny how Italian law works.

Every single member of this forum would've opted to keep Conte, anyone who claims anything else is a lair.

Max did blow us away in his first season tho, but that's hindsight.

I hope he gets thrown in jail like a dirty little whore, alla cersei style and they deny him his daily dose of finasteride so all his hair falls out again.
