Apple's patent technology for their touch screen is unparalleled. I'll find you some articles explaining the design when I get a chance.
Patent technology, is that a term now? A technology to patent everything so that your competitor has to pay protection money to put buttons on their phone?

But the Desire lacks good amount of internal memory for installing apps. Plus, the multi-touch on the Desire has problems cos it's not true multi-touch. So I recommended the DZ.

Sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab Blocked in the EU

bizwriter writes with a news piece in bnet about the continuing battle between Samsung and Apple. From the article:
"In a stunning and painful decision for Samsung, Apple got a German court to issue a preliminary injunction against the Galaxy Tab. According to patent analyst and blogger Florian Mueller, that means Samsung cannot ... sell its tablet in the entire European Union, except for the Netherlands."

This must be the most abominable case yet in patent trolling.

What do you mean now?

Tech patents have been around for decades

Take Google's search algorithm for example. Do you think thats not patented? Google Analytics? Adobe Flash?

Patents are an abomination. Their reason to be, "promoting innovation", has never been backed by any credible study, it's a mere urban legend. If the world wide web had been patented, it would only become freely usable this week, 20 years after it was created. That is spurring innovation, is it?

You must be the type that would rather work for free too right?
