Very simplistic way to look at it.
This is the kind of attitude that made United, Milan and Inter slump to disastrous lows after being the best teams in Europe. And you’re likely seeing it with Liverpool too.
Wewere stuck between a rock and a hard place- going all in for the CL with Ronaldo wouldn’t work because our team wasn’t that great. So we had to rejuvenate our team, likely costing us trophies in the immediate future.
We might lose out on the scudetto this year because we hired at a rookie coach, but looking at how good Pirlo is at learning from his mistakes, his man management, tactical flexibility and his embodiment of Lo Stile Juve, I am convinced we will keep improving with him.

Long story short, you can’t just look at it from the perspective of one season, you have to look at the big picture.
I agree that this is likely the direction management is going here but Tuzzers won't want to hear it. We have been spoiled for the last decade so that is understandable.

I´ve changed my mind a bit after the Napoli defeat, people are just frustrated at this season and I´ve accepted this will probably be a down year. Still hurts but F it, it is what it is.

If we change Pirlo for next season we´ve had 4 managers the last 4 years. That´s not Juventus, time to stop panicking and bring some stability to this club.

You can't be a Juve fan for decade(s) and think this club takes a year "off" from wanting to win for "future" bc they can't think ahead otherwise. Bizarre and makes no sense. That too on year 10. A couple of years ago I wouldn't believe what I was reading.

We had built something very strong.. the club has done its best to dismantle it with poor managerial appointments..
I've been hearing this for each of past 9 years

Ramsey on a good day can make some runs forward but is by no means a ball distributor neither is Bent nor mckenie..that's the prob, making runs is what we do mostly we don't have a player with passing range to exploit open space even if bonucci plays (his quality is not the same and even if it was he is not enough) Pirlo used to play deep in front of BBC and take advantage of the freedom they provided to pick out advancing teammates and be like a connecting hub but maybe it's too much to ask of Artur.
It's a swastika on an Armenian temple wall with zero made up stories, unlike real history.
So its not connected to the whole Natzi thing?

Sure, Sarri shouldn't ever have happened and Pirlo isn't ready but we never fixed the midfield issue.

The quality has been gradually going down after the Vidal/Pirlo/Pogba days. We replaced them with players who never had one third of the talent those guys did and then we replace those with ones that are even worse.

Aside from poor managerial appointments there were some poor signing decisions made.

My only thought is, if we crash and burn against Porto, will Pirlo be demoted/sacked?

Even if we don’t, if we end up 4th and in battle for CL spot will he get sacked?
He should be sacked if we lose to Porto.
He should be sacked if we lose the league by 15 points and we finish second.
He should keep his job if we finish fourth in the league and we lose the league by fewer than 5 points.
There are too many hypotheticals, why not just let it play out and see what happens.

Just being realistic. It isn’t realistic to expect to win the scudetto every year. I do want to see progress in the Champions league though. If we go out to Porto, Pirlo should get the sack.
I don't. But the series of wins shouldn't have to end here, and if it does, it's down to not having a coach. Say whatever you want, not winning the league is a failure, and keeping Pirlo even beyond that, offers zero guarantees of a different outcome for next season. It remains a huge gamble.

I think it would be hard for any coach right now to find a balance between such a weak midfield and so many changes to include younger players. Easier for a defense to be strong despite a weak midfield, but IMO its more difficult for an offense to remain consistent without any support behind it.

Improving our midfield will improve Pirlo's odds significantly next season (or any coach). Transitions suck, but necessary. We are in ours right now and Pirlo was smacked in the middle of it. Our squad will be improved this summer so I'd want to see what Pirlo can do with a team that is more balanced from back to front.

When you‘re playing only 2 midfielders time and again despite knowing we have a weak midfield, then it’s not about having the right players or not, it’s about having absolutely no clue about coaching.
As great a player he was, as clueless a coach he’s become.
IT’S TIME TO GO!
