Um easy solution here. Match up Georgia Tech's vaunted run game against TCU's defense and let Iowa play Boise in a corn belt match up. But noooo, the BCS guys have to go out of there way to continually screw over the little teams.

On another note it's obvious why TCU and Boise are playing each other and Cinci is play Florida.

The BCS figure Florida can beat Cinci pretty easily. Cinci, TCU, and Boise could easily beat both Iowa and Ga Tech. If that happened the Big East, Mountain West, and WAC will all have to be taken more seriously and a different system would have to be seriously considered.

Easy solution for the BCS to save itself = throw one of the lambs to the slaughter and make the other too play each other.

That is not Necessarily true in regards to Florida. Due to the fact that FLorida-Alabama were 1-2 in the BCS polls, then the winner would go to the BCS Championship, and the loser would automatically go to the Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl is the SEC's territory, so to speak.

Excuses, fans that travel well will go where ever. If travel distance had anything to do with the match ups, then why is Iowa going to Miami?

Boise and TCU both traditionally have huge fan bases and travel very well. The fact is that it is about match ups. And the BCS being scared to match up power conference players with "mid major" teams that might actually beat them. I don't think they want another Boise vs Oklahoma.
