I think the word 'elite' was just redefined.
It's interesting to look at different eras and how forwards are perceived. Paolo Rossi is considered one of the best Italian strikers of all-time, but as far as today's standards go, the guy was hardly prolific. Even comparatively speaking to others of the era he wasn't all that prolific. What he did was score an incredible number of big goals. Both for the NT, and in the few years he was at Juventus competing in Europe. I think his Serie A goal-scoring record is somewhere in the range of 80 goals in over 200 matches.

Morata: 'Madrid can't buy happiness'
By Football Italia staff

Alvaro Morata warned Real Madrid might have a buy-out clause from Juventus, “but happiness counts more than clauses.”

The striker joined last year in a complex deal that saw Juve pay €20m, but the Merengues have an option to buy him back in 2016 or 2017 for around €30m.

“It’s true that the paperwork says I could return to Madrid, but some things go beyond clauses and have to deal with how people actually feel,” Morata told Radio Marca in Spain.

“Happiness counts more than clauses.”

Juventus reached the Champions League Final last season, losing 3-1 to Barcelona, and the showdown this term is in Milan.

“If we reach the Final and win the Champions League at San Siro, I will walk back to Turin on foot!”

Such a big difference in the way Clutch speaks about his future compared to Pogba.

Pogba refuses to say anything about a future at juve and only focusses presence, while Clutch feels its mandatory to underline how pleased he is in juventus, and basically gave madrid a shove about taking his return for granted.

Now i'm not naive. Clutch could very well do this to get better conditions and contract, but as a fan its so pleasing to see a player say this about the club.
