He will be in Real Madrid next summer unless he suffers a long-term injury or have a major dip in form. We gotta accept it and appreciate Simone Zaza.

Now, the Morata deal was very dumb by Marotta.

One way to undo that stupid deal would be to give Madrid a first option on Pogba ahead of Barcelona in exchange of lifting that option on Morata.
got us to cl final

We managed to get to the CL final thanks to his goals. Even if it is worst case scenario and he goes back to Madrid - we'll have had a top player for 2 years that helped us a lot in CL and made us a more respected team. It was worth it, but I will be bitter for losing such a great player and person. :andy2::cry:

32m for an accomplished international young player like Morata (and also Spanish, if I may add) is peanuts for Real Madrid. A huge steal.

FFS, Perez paid 36m for an unproven Illarramendi!

Reports suggest that Real Madrid will meet the €30m buy-back price for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata next summer.

The striker impressed in the Bianconeri’s run to the Champions League final last season and turned heads again on Tuesday with a superb finish in the 2-1 win over Manchester City.

Gazzetta dello Sport believes that the Merengues are ready to present the Old Lady with the sum in June 2016, which was agreed as part of the deal that took the Spaniard to Turin.

However, the newspaper reports that the final decision rests with Morata and that Juve will attempt to convince him by offering a new contract until 2021 in January.

The 22-year-old’s current deal is set to expire in 2019 and Gazzetta believe that the new offer will be for a €3.5m salary that will rise through the years of the contract.

Tuttosport also believe that the Bianconeri’s directors are attempting to convince the striker’s agent to cancel the buy-back clause currently in place.

Yes it is, but Real weren't going to sell him without a buy-back clause.

Wages and outgoing transfers in Madrid matter most.
They are not selling Ronaldo or Bale, so its a question of Benzema moving. He is a Perez darling and unless a serious (PSG) offer comes he isn't moving ether.

Morata stays, unless Madrid get him as a first team/leading the attack player. He is one here and if they really want him in the future they would offer what they pay for their starters.

They were. Not for 20m though...
Other clubs wanted him and offered more, but HE wanted us...

If Benzema leaves we are fucked as far as Morata is concerned, but there isn't much indication of that.

Tactically it would also leave questions for Real Madrid, as Morata is somewhere between Ronaldo and Benzema.

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has confirmed the club still hold an option to bring Alvaro Morata back from Juventus.

Perez was speaking at a meeting of Madrid members and was asked directly about the striker, who moved to Turin in 2014.

“We can bring him back. They are developing him and at the end of the season we can pay €10m more than we were paid and he’ll come back,” Marca quotes Perez as saying, also noting Juve paid €22m for the forward.

Perez was also asked about the decision to sack Carlo Ancelotti for Rafa Benitez, and Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas, the former almost leaving this summer and the latter making it out the door.

“We needed a new impetus. Therefore we changed Coaches. Rafa is a Coach of this house and he has experience,” Perez said of the trainer.

“Ramos? Sometimes the interests of the players aren’t the same as of the club. I watch over the club,” he continued, hinting at what was a long-running contract dispute.

“He didn’t want to leave and we didn’t want him to leave. He would have been paid much more at Manchester United.

“Iker was the one who asked to leave. He had a difficult time in the last two years. Nobody wanted him to leave, then the offer came and he asked for it to be considered. He asked us to help financially and we did.

He is a good player who has just scored a beautiful goal in an important match. Its not surprising that Perez was questioned about him.

I think we should not be worried because morata is still far from the level of player that starts for Madrid. He needs to score 20+ goals in Serie A and 4 goals or so in CL for them to give him a serious consideration.

I am still calm because benzema is only 27 and still an incredible player. Unless he has a long run of poor form or gets a massive season ending injury or someone better suddenly becomes available to them, I dont see Madrid letting him go.

From his side, I don't see him wanting to move away from Madrid at the peak of his career, especially that he is being linked to Arsenal. He is also earning a massive salary and Madrid could always match whatever financial demands he makes.

If they get morata, he is for the bench and will be competing with the likes of Jese over first sub status. He'd have to be an idiot to leave a team where he is growing and getting lots of game time for Madrid's bench. Madrid would have to offer him one hell of a contract to talk him into being a bench player. How much are we giving him now?

What would be better? keep Morata and spend another 15M or... use the 30M from Real Madrid add those 15M we intended on spending on him and sign a 45M forward?
I like Morata but 45M for lets say Cavani won`t be such a bad move...

Will we do that though? Im afraid we will go for a cheaper option and another problem we have is actually convincing a player worth that much money to come here.

It would have been very hard to take Morata from Real without a buyback clause. I think other clubs came forward last year but offering buyback got us ahead in the race. It's a huge blow if he's returning there. Let's hope he's fed up with the club and ask to stay here.

45m won't get cavani, and morata's wages are much lower, too.

i'd pay an other 10-15m to real if that would keep morata in torino. we splashed out 30+ for dybala, and morata is certainly a more proven player already at the same age. (morata is a year older, doesn't make too much difference anyway.)
