I wonder if Delneri in some games e.g. Inter where we need some extra muscles in midfield will play Marchisio as a left midfielder and then Melo and Aguilani central. It could work especially if we got Trémoulinas.

Then he would make our worst fears come true: that he is even stupider than Zac.

this is an absolute masterstroke if he can stay fit, those who have doubted Marotta have had to eat their words with Krasic and Aquilani now on board

Krasic was always on board. The Aquilani coup is a surprise. It can go either way though. He gave away Poulsen and got in a replacement with the same salary (even though I'm not bothered by the money, its evident that Poulsen was give away to decrease the wage burden). Is Aquilani a better player than Poulsen - yes. Will he be as available as Poulsen - No. So lets call that even.
Then we are have Martinez, Motta, Pepe, Bonucci. Now Marotta will be judged on how these guys perform. Secco bought in Diego and Melo last season and most people jizzed their pants. But halfway into the season people were on his head again because both of them didn't perform as expected. The same will happen to Marotta. So lets see how it plays out.
I personally am satisfied with the squad because I think our aim should be a CL spot. This team can get us there as long as we get an LB.

the best part is we get him for 15.5m if he performs well...its peanuts considering we paid 10m for poulsen 14m for tiago and 11m for martinez..

Been a big fan of his since his Roma days. Hopefully he can stay fit and find his best form because he's a quality player. We might actually be able to play some good stuff if Del Neri has the balls to start him and Marchisio in the middle.

Storari

Motta - Bonucci - Chiellini - LB

Krasic - Aquilani - Marchisio - Pepe

Amauri - Diego
what i like about those 5 midfielders in there is that they are work horses AND skilled players (Pepe makes up for his lack of skill with sheer determination and workrate)

very good combo. Hope it works on the field.
