Because he has more of a free role and likes to play off the striker.... Takes up positions more in the middle rather then nedved who plays a majority down the wing (but i kno that nedved can play in the middle as he has done for the czechs)... Cant see VDV running up and down the left wing...

Sorry for being slow but just found the Sum of money that fiorentina paid for Gilardino (14m) LOL. that makes Amauri look like an absolute bargain... I only mention this becuase alot of people said Amauri was well over priced...
