By the way, Serb militiamen have entered the US embassy in Beograd. :weee:
and thats something to be happy about ??

I hope its none of your family members that are working at that embassy

talk about being UNAmerican

This is the start of WWIII. The first outbreaks of war start in the Balkans, much like the assassination of Ferdinand in Sarajevo in WWI. Russia starts building their influence in the area again while the US continues to ponder war with Iran. In the meantime, Israel makes a strike against Iran, the US has no choice but to support them. Russia provides support to Iran, Iraq becomes completely destroyed in the midst of civil war, and Pakistan's government starts to become hostile towards the US government, lighting up Nuclear weapon fears in that part of the world as well.

Get ready, BOYS! :p
very possible

US media is insinuating that Russia had a part in this demonstration and embassy infiltration today.
of course the Soviet Union was involved

So will this be Obama's first duty if he becomes Pres?
no...his first duty will be to memorize some of Reagan's past speeches :p

It's only a derivative of our decisions in this case, Eazy. Serbs trashing our little house in Belgrade is just a little price to pay.

I like it.
more anti-American bullshit...get your sombrero, Paco

Hell breaking loose in Beograd. Protesters stormed the US Embassy and it's on fire. Interesting stuff going on here, and I'm watching video of a Serb trying to rip down the US flag. Pretty telling stuff here for the future.
getting a boner, Andy ??

We reap what we sew, Vinni. And I'm not happy about it whatsoever. Just because I can see where the Serbs are coming from doesn't mean I want even more violence in the region.

DON'T fucking talk to me about being an American. You're the one who doesn't even have enough respect to follow our football in this country. All you do is stick to your little Italian American niche and only come out of it when somebody insults your right-wing views about this country.

Go back to labeling Noam Chomsky a sufferer of mental retardation... you have a better chance at winning that argument.

There won't be a new war here. Yet. Serbs just don't have the power and the resources ATM and Russia won't exactly give it to them when it can set of a chain reaction with nukes playing a big part of it. All Russia can give Serbia is political assistance. No one wants to end the world at the end of the day.

I talked to my brother yesterday and he brought up an interesting point concerning Croatia about this whole situation. If we had only sided with Serbia on this one and not did as the EU dictates us, there would be a lot of positives for us on the economical side. Serbia is a huge market, especially Belgrade, and when you think about it, in such a scenario, Croatian firms and products would be more then welcome in Serbia. As things are now, Slovenian chains of super markets such as Mercator are destined to close shop. I heard in the last few days the whole Mercator had a revenue of 50€ in a whole day! And with the Serb pride I doubt that's gonna change any time soon. If Croatia sided with Serbia every Mercator would be changed with Konzum, Dukat would be on every shelf in every store, etc.. Political relations would be given a huge boost and we all know how important is to have good relations with our neighbours.

Then again, we'd probably lose all hope of entering the EU and you'd probably get public protests on our streets because of fears of another Yugoslavia. But looking at it from a pure economical view, siding with Serbia would mean a whole lot more than siding with Kosovo. But our assholes are already lubricated, waiting for the EU to pounce any day now..

Vinni, I don't know why you always prance around acting like an American patriot of some sorts. I respect what you do, but it's like you'll protest and insult any notion that goes against what our media, or more efficiently, what the Bush administration has to say. I mean, being a nationalist is one thing, but being a Bush follower no matter what is another. But the thing is, I don't think I can call you a nationalist because you don't have any passion for our sports nor football, including the MLS, and have always blasted American soccer every chance you have had. What is up with that shit? If you really were a patriot and nationalist, you'd care about what our boys did in international sports. You're like some sort of pseudo-patriot who only acts patriotic when right-wing views are being criticized.

You can call me Paco, anti-American, or whatever you like. But what you're doing here is exactly why everybody else in the world hates us. Why? Because you don't have an open mind to anything. I criticize my own government for obvious flaws, something the voting populous in this country are currently doing in actuality, and yet you think that I'm no better than some terrorist. I have defended the United States in several matters in the past, both in the right and the wrong in retrospect, and it takes a lot to admit the faults your own side has imposed on others.

I'd rather have an open mind when it comes to our policies as currently they are so fucking disgusting I don't know how anybody could support them, but I guess our media and government has done a fantastic job fooling the general population in this nation. Whether you like it or not, we don't always act as the moral authority in the world even though we say we are, Vinni. You need to "grow up" and see through the cloud coverage temperature gradients cause in the Atlantic that separates the US from the rest of the world.

And by the way, this doesn't make me anti-American. It makes me fucking goddamn WORDLY, which I'd rather be instead of alienating people I like from myself.

Too unoriginal. I expect razzle, dazzle from you. Not the same old. ;)
sorry bro,my bad you know i always have hard man meat for aaron

It was a typo.

I want to answer your beautiful question but I don't want to derail this thread further. I want to open a new thread to answer it, but I don't want a thread about religion as that always goes down the drain. I don't want to PM you because I don't care to have personal communication with you. I don't want (can't) to put you on my ignore list (which has no one) because then I can't have the pleasure of banning you one of these days. Such a dilemma I face.
tahir i have bad news for you,as a mod you cannot ignore anyne

Like the U.S. should have sent troops to Northern Ireland in the 80s or in Kashmir any time in the past 60 years...
sad as it is greg the amount of succesful campaigning the IRA conducted over the years in america was ebarassing. several million americans call themselves "irish-american" and teh IRA drew millions uopn millions for years from americans wantinf to support the "irish cause" sending in troops to help their british "allies" would ahve been a bit of a shit storm

Name one minority in the world , to whom are given more rights as such like those give to Albanians in present Macedonia ?
here in britain our national identity is being stripped. i personally have many friends of different ethnic backgrounds but i want to tell you a wee story....

woman in west coast of scotland(i forget which town now) was an avid collector of porecelin ornamental pigs and had ammased a collection of about 30, some of which sat on her window. several years later a muslim family move in across the street. two weeks later the woman gets a knock on the door, it was teh police, who came in and took EVERY ornamental pig away as it was viewed as insulting to the people who just moved in across the road.

i am sure tehre are stories like this in every country, the minorities in most countries now are viewed as having more rights, why? because they are the ones who are fighting to CHANGE society so they can fit in. until people learn to integrate into the society they are moving in to then there will always be conflict

It says: "Congrats on independence of your state."
Aha okay.. Thanks

Oh, but it did. The war in Macedonia back in 2001 solved many things for Albanians that started it. Look at them now, sitting in the government and many other high governing places, amnestied for any wrongdoing, of course.
It did help.. But still not as good as it should be..

That wasn't even a war. That was a well written and well played scenario where the only ones who suffered were the poor Macedonian soldiers who were the sacrificial lamb in that moovie.

You know, this thing with Albanians looks more and more like Israel. The difference is that the Albanians will not be a military force that Israel is and they won't be getting the help of the greatest powers for a long time.
Then they'll find themselves in the middle of a territory inhabitted with Christians who can't stand them and who feel they've been hard done by the Albanians.

That will be very ugly :(
You wish that our what?.. It will never end in that way.. Wait and see..
Every serb know who Kosova really belongs too and soon, very soon everything will turn back to normal in Beograd and Serbia.. And Kosova will move forward and become a normal country..

Name one minority in the world , to whom are given more rights as such like those give to Albanians in present Macedonia ?
Ahh.. Thats not true.. Well yes they have the rights, but while Macedonia is giving them rights some places, They kill there man other places.. My girlfriend is from Tetova, A city where more then 90% are Albanians.. Macedoniens forces attack villiges there claming they are killing terrorist..
One man died yesterday at US embassy yesterday.
~70 people injured.16 of them are cops.My friend is arrested.Every single good shop in Belgrade is broken and empty.
Thats not good.. They should stop, and make peacefull demostrations, like your president said..

For the second time : stop implying that i want the worst for your people. I don't think i ever met an Albanian. My country never had problems with Albania and Albanians, we aren't neighbours with Albania or Kosovo, while the only ones who have problems with Albanians are the Serbs, with whom my country was in war.

What i said above is a prediction, not a wish.
Albanians are surrounded with enemies who hate them. It's the same like with the Israeli, isn't it ? They are hated by all their neighbours. Plus, Albanians are muslim surrounded by christians.
But Albanians aren't and chances are that they'll never be a military force like Israel. They aren't economically superior to their neighbours and the only thing they have as their advantage right now is the support they've been getting from the US. Once US support stops, Albanians are left alone, surrounded by wolves that want to destroy them.

Something i wouldn't like to happen, but something that can easily happen at the end.

Ok, i'm not too familiar with this situation and Macedonians and Albanians know it much better. What i know is from the english written sources and CNN.
You'e talking about the police action in one village near Tetovo (Brod ?)
I read that US and NATO supported this action and they applauded it. If this wasn't an action against terrorism i really doubt Albanian alies would have supported it.
Another thing is that 1/3 of the policemen were Albanians and the guy who lead the action was one vice-minister of police who is also an Albanian.
And third, the arsenal found in the Albanian houses was enough for one big army. Why would "civilians" have so many guns and rockets ?

I repeat, i know this only from the American newspappers and media, while the actual situation may have been different.
