I like how people can talk about their troops in other countries so non-nonchalantly. Hundred's years of constant involvement in other people's business can do that I guess.
I don't get what you mean. With today's media you can't no know where the troops are. I would really be worried if we didn't know where our troops are. And its really only been about 90 years of messing in other peoples business.

isn't the opposite of nonchalantly, chalantly
It was a typo.

I want to answer your beautiful question but I don't want to derail this thread further. I want to open a new thread to answer it, but I don't want a thread about religion as that always goes down the drain. I don't want to PM you because I don't care to have personal communication with you. I don't want (can't) to put you on my ignore list (which has no one) because then I can't have the pleasure of banning you one of these days. Such a dilemma I face.

It's over 100 years and it's not about knowing where your troops are, it's just the way you are 'allowed' to talk about it so loosely. And it's not an attack at you, you have nothing do with it.

I know. I just didn't know what you meant with the whole nonchalant thing. So no worries.

The country is just over 200 years, and we've only had about 90 years in which we've had the ability to meddle. The sad thing, is that is almost half the time we've been around. :frown:

Oh, but it did. The war in Macedonia back in 2001 solved many things for Albanians that started it. Look at them now, sitting in the government and many other high governing places, amnestied for any wrongdoing, of course.

I know...people talk like we arent safe in America unless every other power is occupied by us. Iraq never did anything to us and never hal queda till we invaded and made them weak. And now Castro stepped down we will probably be involved very soon wether we hear about it or not. Americas foreign policy is embarrasing and I feel bad for the rest of the world. Any Americans need to read up on Ron Paukl he is the only one who will change America.

That wasn't even a war. That was a well written and well played scenario where the only ones who suffered were the poor Macedonian soldiers who were the sacrificial lamb in that moovie.

You know, this thing with Albanians looks more and more like Israel. The difference is that the Albanians will not be a military force that Israel is and they won't be getting the help of the greatest powers for a long time.
Then they'll find themselves in the middle of a territory inhabitted with Christians who can't stand them and who feel they've been hard done by the Albanians.

That will be very ugly :(

So, none of the problems where Albanians are involved are solved permanently, they are only put on hold with all the dirty secrets swiped under the carpet.

Like the U.S. should have sent troops to Northern Ireland in the 80s or in Kashmir any time in the past 60 years...

Not to sound harsh, but you're going to have to get over it. Life is not fair. People get killed by drunk drivers and nothing brings them back. People mow through their Tutsi neighbors with machetes, and the government policy becomes "confess, make peace, and move on."

Until you come to grips with that, your obvious irritation about the world of people and politics is only going to hurt you.

Aren't all these idiotic? seriously think for a moment, all these happening because of religion firstly and secondly for nationalism. Everyone here in the forum or all over the world have different opinions and that's related for the same reasons, religion and the nation they live in. It's really a shame that people are hating each others for these, and for piece of fucking land.

We've had more that enough wars , killings and bloodshed over here, but as the history has shown, we don't come out wiser after every war fought here , we come out more eager to start a new one right away.

We should all put politics aside and try to make it a better place for our childrens , because our ancestors made really big big mess over here and we are paying the price of that.
