Did Spain deserve to go through yesterday?

Spain created fuck all. If you don't create, you don't deserve to go through. Spain are the polar opposite to Belgium though. We play with way more depth in our game.

I feel bad for Japan, they played well for the most part and almost pulled off a huge upset.

As for the other game...strange, it's silent from the Mexicans on social media. Maybe they're still celebrating from that win over Brazil that so many were predicting, someone check the seismometer. What a beautiful day.

We are talking about a world cup where Spain goes out against Russia. Only because Belgium is much more talented than Japan doesn't mean they had to have trashed Japan and it certainly doesn't make their last minute victory an undeserved one.

I still don't get what the term deserve mean in your argument. Unless you're winning and 2 torpedoes fall in the stadium causing 2 accidental own goals, you can't say a team undeservedly lost.

I find it insane that we somehow didn't deserve to win. Japan played brilliantly, were very well organized and scored two good goals.

But tbh I think our two last goals were absolute quality, we didn't lose faith and we did have more chances.

Belgium has been "quality on paper for years now but nothing more than on paper. Brazil has been putting quality performances for the last two years but really dropped the ball once the World Cup started. So it's a hell of an unpredictable match.

Add that to the fact this WC don't give a fuck about traditional teams and like you said nobody is really that good so it's all up for grabs.

Before the tournament started I said I wouldn't be afraid to face anyone because of Brazil's quality but seeing how everybody's playing subpar football, I have no fucking clue whether it has what it takes to reach the final.
