Dude, please stop posting!!!

It has nothing to do with the 3-5-2... that's just a number... if we transformed to some of the 4-3-3's you have suggested, we would play in the exact same way, the problem being, that when attacking, we would now only have one forward. The way our team works, with our wing backs pushing up, mean we almost play a 3-3-4 when we are in control of the game. A 4-3-3 could prove useful in some situations, but not because we write a different formation on the paper - because we would fit our style of play to the situation.

Seems more like you want us to play like Dortmund etc.
They play a very direct, aggresive and counter-attacking-like style, which we don't... Please get it man. Our results in Europe is not only a result of formation, but also of the quality of players, marginals, form at the time of the respective games etc. etc. There are more to it than just wheter we are playing 3-5-2 or 4-3-3.

You are (almost) single-handly destroying this forum. Why does every second post here have to be from you screaming about 4-3-3'n'$#@!? Please be a little more nuanced...
BUT WE DID, we played fast direct high pressing football with 4-3-3 somewhere in 2011 WITH WORSE PLAYERS THAN TODAY, THIS IS A FACT.

see? you zach's peasants apparently have such short memory.

agreed. we didnt really concede possession as a tactic...if that was the plan against an 'inferior' opposition then lol..we were having a hard time getting it and a harder time in possession unable to string decent and simple plays together..alike what we have seen after that match and even in the league to 'inferior' oppositon we just struggled. had a lot of mislpaced passes and botched attacking plays etc etc..nothing is wrong with criticising the team...some of u r either very young or perma-menstruating or just plain ole soft...
nice to see that not everyone is zach's peasants here.

There are difficulties in renewing Pogba's contract, he knows he can earn double else where. Real Madrid and PSG want Pogba. Real Madrid is offering 35M + Di Maria & Morata and PSG is offering 75M. Pogba prefers Real Madrid.

Modrić + Di María and we can talk

That is true, we played much better football two years ago, and yes, it does indeed have to do with both the formation and mentality of the team.
Its still worrisome that with better players we are not able to emulate that kind of football.

Maybe the team was younger? who knows

It kind of irks me, that once a player goes to Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Bayern, they consider it a final destination, the pinnacle of their career. Unless they are forced to move, or feel the need for a new challenge later in their career, these clubs are considered the ultimate for any footballer.

I wonder if Juventus can ever become that once again (and I mean for non Italian players).

Hard to guess man... a lot needs to happen for that to be tthe way it was... and i mean A LOT.

For example...even if we win consecutives CL finals...this will not make us the "pinnacle" for players. For that, we not only need to be winning left and right.... but also dominate a robust league full of competitive teams as strong as us. But the most important.. the league needs to be moving insane amounts of $$$$ and who knows what more.

In short...as long as the serie A stays crappy...this will not happen. It doesnt depend on us solely...sadly.

This could take years...even more than a decade at the very least. MOst serie A teams are average, full on debts and they do not even own a stadium. Serie A is in the stone age right now in compairsonw ith the big 3.

We did, yes. But that doesn't mean we were more efficient. It's safe to say that besides Milan (who had a much better team with Ibra) all the other Italian sides back then were much weaker than today's Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina. That Juventus would find it hard to win this season.

And also, we were the masters of drawing matches. We drew about 15 matches that season, while in 12/13 and this season we drew 6 and 3 matches, respectively. The difference is that we had Grinta, lots of it, before. Now, for whatever reason; exhaustion, lack of focus, the whole we-all-hate-Juventus that seems to be going on lately... We just don't have it anymore.

We are still winning, on course to set new records, and still in with a decent chance of lifting a European trophy.

I'd rather be winning than playing fancy football with nothing to show for it.

 Exactly. Although i have to admit i got kind of pissed when we picked our "B team" against Fiorentina on the first match. That got me going and i reacted wrongly and have been since.

You're right, that's how we should all look at it. I just wanted Conte to care a little about the EL and have it as our main goal, we need that title so badly.

Man, I fucking miss that dude. His jersey was the first I ever had and I know for a fact it will be the last.

Legends come and go, but DP10 was something special. The skill of Bruce Lee, the class of the Dos Equuis man, and the looks of Cleopatra, this guy was the ultimate human being in the entire world.

From being a child prodigy who overcame the odds of suffering the worst injury in all of sports, Alex could've gone on to win more trophies than a MENSA genius could count. But that would mean he would have to leave Juventus, his old lady. And he never did. As a reward, he still won every relevant trophy out there, from the CL to the World Cup, albeit not as many times as he could have. But I like to think the most important thing he won is the affection of millions of fans. Fans who convinced their parents to buy them his jersey as a birthday present. Fans who look up to him with the respect only a god deserves. Fans who will always wear a DP10 jersey regardless of their age, or how long ago he retired. Because he will always be the one player, the one man, who truly lived up to the black and white stripes.
