I said a long time ago we would be hard in for Suarez. And also that we must. He is in an underachieving team , building basically from the beginning next season, no CL and a huge squad... But all of that is nothing compared to what Suarez would bring to the RW position.

He is the best Pepe-esque forward for our system. For me, at this moment, he is one of those dream signings. If our management gets him for anything under 25 + Elia/Krasic - its a good deal in Marotta's books and a cheap one in the long term for the club. Player would want to come here so wages mustn't be that high to persuade him either, but we'd have to add a few players on Buffon-sized wages anyway.
Before bianconero81 and others shot me down that Suarez + CF would 'never happen', but now most here are fapping about it i see ...
Now I hope the prophecy fulfills itself and we get Higuain as the huge, Agnelli-present, signing he could and should be for us. Get him in the low 30's and we can start dreaming about European glory. The only downside I see here is that it would be hard to get rid of players since everyone wants a medal at the end of the season ...
IN
Suarez = 20-25m + Krasic/Elia
Higuain = 30-33m
I know its 50+ mils hard cash into one mercato, but first and foremost its fairly obvious it would be worth it. And in the days where Matri is rumored to be corted by Milan (out of all teams) for 16m!

what are 50 or 60 millions anyway? Mind that if our management proves competent we should recoup 30-40m from player sales anyway, which would be more than enough to fill any missing position in the squad and cover a fair share of the payments over these 'top' signings.
Perhaps we still could add one CM, one LB and squad depth(free players; cheap opportunities on the market...) which would make it easy bet on us keeping that Scudetto badge for a few years.
PS: I usually refrain from saying things like that for fear of jinxing ...
