Because they play the same position, a position we already have a decent player in, in Vucinic. So it will be either taking back Gio and signing a quality prima punta (my preference), or signing Suarez/Jojo and not getting that top of an option for the striker role. Would be insanely suprised if we got both SS and ST for big sum and both being top players (EVEN more suprised if both turned out to be SS).

Imagine if these reports are actually true, and we manage to get Suarez for 20 Million + Krasic.

We can then sign Cavani for 20 Million + Matri, or JoJo for Giovinco + 15 Million.
I like the way you think.

Suarez + Cavani/Higuain/RVP

Damnnn :tuttosport:

Okay, let's not raise the hopes up.

:klin: 4-3-3 with JoJo, Suarez, and Vucinic. It might not work, but it's definitely worth a shot. Remember how Henry started out as a winger, and was then transformed into a goalscorer extraordinaire. That trio is dynamic, creative, and unpredictable.

Ideally, I want both Suarez and Higuain, or Higuain and Nani, but that is unlikely to happen.

Kagawa :sigh: :sad:

I said a long time ago we would be hard in for Suarez. And also that we must. He is in an underachieving team , building basically from the beginning next season, no CL and a huge squad... But all of that is nothing compared to what Suarez would bring to the RW position. :tuttosport: He is the best Pepe-esque forward for our system. For me, at this moment, he is one of those dream signings. If our management gets him for anything under 25 + Elia/Krasic - its a good deal in Marotta's books and a cheap one in the long term for the club. Player would want to come here so wages mustn't be that high to persuade him either, but we'd have to add a few players on Buffon-sized wages anyway.

Before bianconero81 and others shot me down that Suarez + CF would 'never happen', but now most here are fapping about it i see ... ;) :D

Now I hope the prophecy fulfills itself and we get Higuain as the huge, Agnelli-present, signing he could and should be for us. Get him in the low 30's and we can start dreaming about European glory. The only downside I see here is that it would be hard to get rid of players since everyone wants a medal at the end of the season ... :D

IN
Suarez = 20-25m + Krasic/Elia
Higuain = 30-33m

I know its 50+ mils hard cash into one mercato, but first and foremost its fairly obvious it would be worth it. And in the days where Matri is rumored to be corted by Milan (out of all teams) for 16m! :sergio: what are 50 or 60 millions anyway? Mind that if our management proves competent we should recoup 30-40m from player sales anyway, which would be more than enough to fill any missing position in the squad and cover a fair share of the payments over these 'top' signings.

Perhaps we still could add one CM, one LB and squad depth(free players; cheap opportunities on the market...) which would make it easy bet on us keeping that Scudetto badge for a few years. :juventus: :spliff:

PS: I usually refrain from saying things like that for fear of jinxing ...

We have many factors in our favor this Mercato:

1) CL Football
2) A Lot of Bargaining Chips
3) New Stadium

and of course we are

4) Serie A Champs
Well, we had all of them a few weeks ago when you said it wouldn't happen (if I am not mistaken) .... :p :)

Talking about big spending and players that have a higher chance to fit I've read some interviews with Perez and this man isn't as dump as some of his choice made him look. And as Real M balance sheet shows he is a fantastic CEO, perhaps not that great club president. So he was talking about Zidane, Ronaldo and etc. and basically how such transfers pay for themselves over the years and most importantly give the club a breather in terms of scouting and investments, since they prevent them from spending smaller, but much more often amounts for 'cheaper' alternatives. Having in mind it is, after all, Real Madrid and patience ain't a virtue in their policies I can see the same thing applied to our squad now.
Yes we have some good bargaining chips, but these are not players that will take us on the next level or ones that let us focus on other position.
So good hunting to Marotta and let's hope he catches a few Uruguayan beevers :D

I am sure that if we bought Neymar for even 60 million around those figures on shirt sales alone and publicity would pay back his transfer fee and actually make us money. Rvp would make money off shirt sales also but not anywhere near as much as Neymar

@Lapa :lol: If you know, why do you ask? :p

Suarez a strong possibility, meaning we are seriously considering him and have apparently made an offer. Asamoah is all but a done deal, Pogba will be wrapped up soon, and Bochetti might be a target for the defense. You have yourself an update :D

I'm an optimist, that's the reason I asked. :shifty:

Suarez, Asamoah, Pogba and Bochetti? Can't see it happening. :D

Good news finally!! I'm glad to see Marotta isn't fucking around. Get me Suarez + Higuain\Cavani and I'll love you forever.

Can you imagine the damage a duo like that would make in Serie A? Daaaaaaaaamn!!!! That's a 40+plus goals duo.
